Nice instructions on this particular battery box. I will have the wife watch this video since I plan on using a battery box for a 75 ah gel battery to hook up to her Nature's Generator (which has a 75 ah battery inside) instead of buying their expensive add on pod. The battery box will also include a 20 amp PWM which will be hooked up to two solar panels. I can piggy back because of the Anderson connector in back of the Generator which (inside) has fuses and electronics to make the plug in possible.

Not to damn hard! Thank you for teaching 🎈

You are very welcome, the hard part is picking the best price on the batteries.

walmart has marine battery boxes for $13. I picked up 3 of those and round volt meters from aliexpress. Plopped my diy batteries in there with a bit of foam and now I can carry them around like a normal battery. Similar idea but on the super cheap :)

I have a few of those NOCO boxes from Walmart, They are very thin plastic compared to this box and not as tall inside but if that is what you can get to do some battery safe usage you have to work with them best you can. I think they can handle the terminals installed on them but not sure due to thickness of the plastic on them.

@@JOHNDANIEL1 I would not recommend putting terminals on them. I wanted a way to carry them around without being loose. I have 4ga wire with ring terminals going out the side to connect to an inverter. I charge them when driving back and forth to work with my minerals DC to DC charger. Working well so far.

@@nathanaelhanson2412 You have to design on your actual intentions. Mine will be as a service and pump battery mainly. Sometimes a 500 watt inverter and tool charging but thats all jumper/gator clamps and easy to use based on the terminals on it.

Nice build. few things I would have done is covered the batteries with something to keep anything from touching and foam, to keep battery from moving because you know some nut like more LOL. would some how drop or nock it over ect. defiantly give out lots of IDEAS for Camper ect. and those boxes are used on Boats, and Campers to house the lead acid batteries. Cant wait to get my Camper remodeled, I started it but I don't like were its going so will be starting over and gutting the entire thing. Way to much waisted space, I would like to just strip it down to the frame and start over.

The raw power in just 2 cells made a spark so big it left a sunburn on the cousins arm. We changed the plan to leave it to putting it in some box for functional use. LiTime sent me a 20% off, then it was allowed to be used with the $10 off, so I got mine for under $45 which is in my view a good price. But with all the things on them I guess $59 would be a great price for anyone needing to do this or similar. Hows your place now? If you still have my 432 number send a text.

Glad you had the sense not to use a LiTime battery.

I haven't had any fails with LiTime but I also did not buy any brand when they first came onto the scene. 2 years ago the fail rate with most all battery brands was high. My LiTime mini set of 4 has been running a water well for over 10 months doing full cycles and not a single issue. A few other brands I did have problems with and now are all redone with cheap BMS into a wall collection. Chins, Affizona, ecoworthy, and some I got already bad.

Jip ties are never a good long-term solution. Plastic degrades over time. Try metal bands.

But you didn’t have the sense to avoid the Bluetti. I have had nothing but problems with my Bluetti.

This one belongs to a guy with a semi truck and he wanted it modified to have that direct to battery terminal set. My personal choice on power stations ain't fully established yet.
