Thanks for your reviews and honest long term knowledge, was attempting to live on DC equipment only due to the efficiencies and the fact every inverter recommended by other youtubers failed, am retired and cash poor, the expense of a large family size DC fridge and the fact that the best of the best of those expensive things do not last After seeing one of your reviews and finding you have had these CNSWIpower units for years I bought the 3200w unit and a set of 4 x 200ah Lithium batteries ... just after I got that setup my temp camp fridge I was living out of till I found yet another over priced DC fridge to ultimately be disappointed about died, went down to the shed and brought up the biggest of 2 very old fridges (made in 1991 in Australia) I had there that I was storing stuff in, plugged it in and it worked well and is only drawing 280watts according to the inverter, finding your channel has made my life easier! if you didn't get your commission I made sure you got something. Only thing I wish was better is the inverter is registering .2v higher than it actually is and sometimes the inverter shuts down claiming over volt, I may set the charge settings manually to overcome that.

I've been running 4 group-29 marine batteries and a 12V lithium battery from a 40A Renogy and two solar panels. It's sole purpose is to illuminate my property when I get off work at 2am. I can jump start a big rig if i want to. The batteries sit in the bed of my pickup under my solar carport. It's always at 13.2 volts when I get home and 14.3 by the time I leave for work. I know it's impractical but I like the ratio. It's verry different with my others. They're 48 volts, 11 kWh of lead and 51 kWh of lithium. This is to power the home I'll build here. For now it powers my mowers, cordless tools, fridge, freezer, air conditioner, and anything else that needs 110. I've never had trouble with my system. I'm looking forward to getting sodium ion cells next.

The design I am using is my own, 65/35 mix of Lead Acid and LiFePO4 directly connected. A VOLT is a VOLT, they do not know they are 2 chemistries, only those selling them do. My design keeps my system hot, the bulk output to inverters is the Lead, the refill to keep the lead hot is the lithium. Overall in the last 2-1/2 years is less than half the water use in the lead acid, never seeing under 50% ever, and extending the life of the lead acid from 1200 expected cycles to over 1600 when testing the GC2 Surrettes battery gravity points. My outcome is going to be 40% more power with not one cent extra spent.

How can I wire a furnace like the one in the video without the electrical board into an outlet for a shop heater?
@JOHNDANIEL1
@JOHNDANIEL1 10 күн бұрын
You can not wire them to AC voltage, you will need a DC supply of 12 volts. To use one without a ignition board and flame sensor you will need to install a gas valve with a built in bulb controlled thermostat and with either a millivolt or capillary style gas valve and a pilot light system. A few other minor adaptions would be required such as a a over temp control to cut power to the gas supply. A blower Time Delay Relay so you get proper cycle actions and a cool down circuit for the furnace blower. The Heat Exchanger and Blower will not need the circuit board to operate, but manual action items mostly bi-metal switches will have to be used in its place.

Check for power, make sure thermostat wiring is not disconnected or damaged, listen for any noise it may make when thermostat is engaged, check to make sure it is getting gas, ( valve next to or inside it ) . Common problems are OVER LIMIT safety switch is stuck in open circuit, fuse or reset breaker failure, Delay Relay not working, and thermostat wires chewed or broken.

Pure sine wave is only part of a good solar setup! These high frequency units are half ass at best, if there rated 2000w, there only safe for a 1000w continuous. There ok for temporary use,camping,backup your fridge and the like, most people have 3 or 4 of these crappy units, and yes Bluetti, Ecoflow are part of this high frequency crap! You have real, long lasting,clean, quality power when you have pure sine, low frequency power, built with large transformers just like the grid. I have 2 low frequency solar generators 3000w each, and 5kw grid tied solar on my house ( Enphase ), my 5 kw produces 5.5 MW every yr and has for 7 yrs straight, complete system warranted for 25yrs, rated for 40yrs. If any of my panels produce 3% under there rated power, for 25yrs they have to replace them

My 2008 Fleetwood Discovery exhaust screen is covered in soot. Why would that happen? I rented this out to a young couple and have never had an issue with heating but they complained of a smell (thought it was propane but smells like something getting too hot to me). Very confusing.
@JOHNDANIEL1
@JOHNDANIEL1 12 күн бұрын
3 likely causes. Poor quality Propane being used ( too much water in it ). Intake part of your exhaust has blockage. Screen has caused carbon formation in burner chamber. Take a bright flash light and look into the intake side for wasp nest, dirt dobber wasp and things stuck in it. Low air (rich burn) can cause this most the time. It can also be due to blocked intake fan so you may have to pull the furnace and open that side to clear it.

If your using the ground wire on the outlets on the SWI power remove it from any grounding such as Cable TV ground or the like. It can cause voltage imbalance. The inverters are not grounded. I tried grounding as a solution it did nothing. I honestly think having watched your video it's dirty voltage. One feature I like about the swi powers is the soft start. I have a vacuum that pulls a ridiculous surge, but I switch it on while the inverter is off, then power on the inverter and listen to a nice gentle rise in power. Doing it the other way (inverter on then vac) trips the breaker :-)

I've heard you mention you have a power station running freezers and other appliances and they get trickle charged throughout the day. Is it a solar trickle charge or coming from main battery bank? Yes, we have a number of Power Stations just getting 90 to 150 watts each all day long and even all night when the batteries have it they are on a circuit using a VSR so that all day when volts are above 12.8 they charge. They get started when volts exceed 13.2 in the morning and all day or night as long as its over 12.8 in the main bank. Only time they do not get or stay to 100% is when the main system has 3 or more days of heavy clouds. On those days we have one power station that is a Aferiy 2400/2032wh that will dump power to them on one AC circuit to them with 30 minute mechanical wall timers you can set for 5 to 30 minutes to any one that needs it most. I also have 8 of the extra odd ball LiFePO4 batteries that are made into a 24 volt system that is to either buck or boost 30 amps to 12v, 10 amps to 36v to meet any short needs of my 12 or 36 volt banks. A video is not a bad idea.

Built faulty, both units on the table that are ALLPOWERS had same EMI issues. Oupes don't, Bluetti don't, and only the Ecoworthy Inverter I had showed some types of bad voltage. And they are aware of it, say all boards are this design, NO 2 or more stage filtering. Already been there, done that. According to them and reason for the buying and using a filter was their reply to: "use a AC line filter to improve the voltage" that recommendation is from the source in China via Alibaba.

@@JOHNDANIEL1 Fair enough. Filter is cheap enough if it corrects the issue. I don't like the fact you can't charge with DC at a high enough rate while using the power station when it's at 95%+, meaning you can't hook it up to 51.2v Lifepo4 bank as an expansion without avoidable wear on the r2500 battery etc. Should just take what it needs to charge and extra to power loads. Doesn't. Does on AC obviously for UPS.

I will attempt to run/video a hand held welder on this 2500 watt constant with 4000 surge watt claimed starting boost. The R2500 if you need specs. Lets see, check back for it on the channel. Attempts for it to run a 13k BTU RV roof Air Conditioner inverter style with ultra soft start 1800 watts start, 1240 running, it was iffy at best, struggled. The ALLPOWERS brand has new recent ads all over that say ( upgraded version ) for a reason. Same item, nothing changed, just they are in a panic and you can find them listed all over on Mercado and Ebay as "refurbished" or "renewed" which is due to thousands of returns on them. Those reviews that are not paid for by them tell the story on the same issues I show. They have impressive quality battery cells, good BMS. But all complaints are the inverters and MPPT units in them. When they have a FIRE SALE due to bankruptcy, be ready to snatch them up as dirt cheap great battery banks to use. Toss the rest.

@@JOHNDANIEL1 Looking forward to the video. I had access to a r2500 a while back, assumed it was just faulty because it struggled with surge. In fact no joke on a particular inductive load 4 small lifepo4 charges totalling 600w the r600 powered it fine and the r2500 overload errored until you switch inverter back on. It is designed so you can use 4 smaller cables to achieve the amps needed. Internally those connect to each other (2 into 1 for Neg, 2 into 1 for Pos) but on the outside your using 4 total 300amp terminals 600 amp real ability (a standard on most brands ) so you can achieve the possible 570 amps max these can call for by using a pair each side ( 4 in all ) of 1 awg cables which I highly recommend over the equivalent slightly heavier than 2 awg they supplied.
