Just sharing how we solved the problem of the litter maid trays filling up too fast.

I see people cutting up the trays, and cutting the tops off to put a tray in a tray... I think this works SO much better.

I put a plastic bag inside the plastic trays or I just reuse and wash (weekly or bi-weekly depending on how dirty they are) the trays and dump the poop and pee into the toilet! I use “the worlds best litter” for my Littermaid which works perfectly and is flushable!

My idea: Raise the box a few inches. Cut bottom out of receptacle. Line it with grocery bag. Now you have twice as much room.

It's better for sealing the litter off against bugs, but I think using a separate box with bag under the bottomless receptacle is still more convenient for easy disposal and bag replacement. Your idea gave me some thoughts for improving mine though, thanks.

KingsPower it's broken by design. They made the disposable waste receptacles so small that you have to replace them every 2 days. It's good to see people coming up with alternatives to costly disposable accessories. I don't like spending $100 on a litter box to then have to turn around and spend money on waste receptacles. It's like selling a cheap printer and then price gouging on the ink.
