Little Bitty Betty is a grade 7 year old jet black pony mare. Betty stands 11.2 hands and in an absolutely shapy little thing!
If you want your kid to learn the ins and outs of training a nice one…who will make them work for it, but won’t get them in a bind, Betty might just be your gal. She is about 30 days from being one of those ponies you never want to let go of.
Occasionally she takes having frogs in her feet a bit too literal for the first 2 minutes of her day. Saddle her up, send her in a few circles on the lead line, and she will hop around in truly THE cutest little buck. She’s not snotty about it, she doesn’t try to get you in a bind, she is just truly a bit green to a saddle so she has to get those frogs out and she’s a solid citizen the rest of the day!
She hardly upsets the saddle and it only lasts about 30 seconds, but it is a little buck nonetheless. Send her both ways a few times and she will remember her waistline and exercise do not coexist well, then she is plum ready to be a pretty nice little lady! I feel even just a hint of consistency with a good little rider, and she will become that old faithful before you know it.
Betty knows her leads, is a smooth ride in all three gaits, is fantastic outside in the pasture, great on the trails, and truly is a great little pony! She’s been to town to see all the sights and sounds and she took it VERY well. She’s a brave little thing and is easy to ride. She is working on getting softer in the bridle (was previously only ridden in a halter) and guides nicely where you point her.
So the good:
⭐️ she is gentle
⭐️ she is STUNNING
⭐️ she isn’t going to get anyone hurt
⭐️ she has alllll the style to make a ton of money
⭐️ she WANTS to be a good pony
⭐️ she will make your kid ten times the rider they were when they get her finished and do so safely!
⭐️ lead line she is ready for anyone to hop on and have her pack them around.
⭐️ she really is such a sweet, kind little mare
The irritating:
💩she does not like her ears touched but we are getting WAY better. I just take it slow and let her know I’m not there to pester her and she comes around quick
💩 she needs to hop around a few minutes before she’s ready to be a civilized member of society, then she is good the rest of the day!
💩 she will irritate you and make you love her all at once! She just needs that kiddo to teach her how great she can be!
I believe she is only 30 rides away from being a pricy little pony! That said,if her new family is looking for a re-sale project to take and fine tune to sell later, I will help l market her with pictures and videos and whatever else needed when she is ready to go!
