I’ve listened to just about every cover of this song (and there are a lot, thanks to the Weeds intro) and this one still stands as the best for me. I listened to it a lot in college while I was in business school and loved the cheerful irony of it. It’s always helped remind me to not become a “ticky-tacky” person who is driven by wealth and status and conformity, but to focus my career on the good I can do for others and the world. Thank you, Real Tuesday Weld, for such a perfect little song that’s been in my life for 7 years and counting.
