The reason the honey badgers don't flinch while digging in bee hives while they sting is not because they want it so bad. It's because it doesn't hurt. Their skin is very thick which provides as armor against stings.

Honey Badgers have died from bee stings before though, especially if they get end up getting trapped when raiding apiaries.

They’re not killer bees. African honeybees aren’t too crazy. So-called ‘Africanised honeybees’ are a hybrid of European and African varieties that are more psychotic than either of the original varieties. Honey badgers are masters of deterrence and are one of the few creatures in the wild that possess the closest thing to what's referred to as gameness.
