My son has beautiful things in his life too but he's not spoiled. He is part of our ministry and we cook for and serve the homeless and those in need. I never appreciate when someone thinks our son is spoiled because he works hard in our home and for others. Wow! Thats great! When we were young - 8 or 9 we used to drive the boat for water skiing. We were really good at it. We knew how fast to go to take off for a regular start, a beach start and a dock start - (can’t do the last 2 anymore - this was in the 60s and 70s) we knew how far to stay away from the beach, we knew how fast each of our friends and family liked to go. We knew all of the hand signals and we knew how far from the beach to drop them. Our observers knew how to loop the rope and tie it nice and neat. We knew how far away to stay from other boats and skiers. It was a fun childhood. And we were really good skiers. Slalom courses, rope tricks with our feet. Pyramids. It was fun.

@@jackdare i mean the fact that they let their kid go near the water. Unload a boat by himself and go "on a boat" by himself. Meaning they watch closely and are there if something happens but don't say no to anything even slightly dangerous

He is not operating it now because he is small. He's actually experiencing what it's gonna be like when he gets a little older and be able to do it on his own right now. The father is doing this to let him see how it's gonna be and so he won't be afraid whenever he takes it on his own.
