I know this is little more than just an excuse to do cute little videos, but I’ve developed something of a headcanon. These two rips are the actual villains of their respective universes. After being defeated, likely by a version of the Mane Six, they were reduced to an early state and banished to another realm. This young man, likely contacted by Twilight, takes charge to rehabilitate them, giving them the love and care they need to become better people.

A new paper came out that sheds more light on the bug attracted to light sources thing. To put it simply they fly in a straight line but their bodies evolved to keep the sun in their backs involuntarily, so if they fly straight and there's a lamp their bodies curve upwards so the light is on their back causing them to orbit around lamps instead, it's an involuntary evolution quirk, they aren't attracted but the light confuses them in their perspective they fly forwards but can't leave the light, a bit horrifying really

Imagine that in this timeline Tirek is basically the only threat and he’s dealt with almost instantly by the lovingly raised would-be villains of other timelines. No name changes. Daybreaker is just Celestia without the fake politeness. None of that “civility” or “diplomacy”. Just telling it how it is and if that means you make her wish she could melt you from the inside out for being a terrible pony, then she will say so.
