Ironically enough, because I happen to live in the same village as Elton John, he most definitely is not the only gay in the village!
@garethlawton52784 жыл бұрын
Elton loved the interview, he's a drama queen after all and you instantly know if something has upset him. He just was amazed how many gay jokes they could fit into one sketch interview. Plus i'm sure they let him know before the interview roughly what was going to happen, just kept the jokes out so they could get his natural reaction to them.

This is by far my favourite comedy reaction channel. You have such a mix. And ur laugh is infectious too. More League of Gentlemen please. And maybe 10-15 minute clips. 👍
@markalexander36592 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Little Britain was huge in the UK at the time and Elton knew the show and was informed it was gonna be a comedy/piss-take type interview but he didn't know what any of the questions were going to be (hence why he can't keep a straight face), so yeah he's a great sport and also pretty quick with the innuendo's himself since he came up with them on the spot. The only scripted line was the last one because the character interviewing him's catchphrase is "I'm the only gay in the village".
@georgezee5173Ай бұрын
Elton John definitely seems to be the kind of person that can have a laugh at himself. He plays himself in the second Kingsman movie and doesn't mind being the center of the joke in lots of scenes.
@RevuitNet4 жыл бұрын
Elton loved that, he loves jokes like that because it’s all in good spirit and meant with no malice. Probably couldn’t have jokes like this now but at the time because Matt Lucas and David Williams covered a lot of race, sexuality humour, it was taken as light hearted and nothing more. Sadly we are unable to really allow this humour in mainstream tv anymore because there has been too much minority bullying/victimisation going on. However we can still look back at this old school gold and remember it for what it was.... just a little light hearted fun!

It's one of the great things about comic relief the fact celebrities agree to interviews and sketches with comedians at the risk of being the butt of jokes for a good cause. Your should try the legendary ali g and the beckhams video

Comic relief, the actors, comedians and singers are paid, although it was supposed to be for children’s charities. Under freedom of information, the BBC pays itself approximately £160oooooo.oo and some of the change left, trickles to a few children’s charities, that have staff that pay themselves hundreds of thousands. 97% of UK charities are cash cows for the upper and middle classes.

You should check out this video..kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3mqqqdrl7mVms0 . it explains what it's all about... basically it's a day that lots of people do things to raise money for charities... not just for the UK but for around the world.
