Stop your whining. My brothers graduated from MSU in 1980 and 1981, and I graduated in 1986, my niece graduated in 2010, and my nephew is a freshman in the MSU Marching Band today. My family's roots at MSU started in 1976. We moved to Michigan in 1972 as sons of a father from Chicago, who loved ND, and went to Marquette, be we all gravitated quickly to the green and white. Part of the reason is all the bandwagon Michigan and ND fans in our area.

Most of them were pretty bad. However your victories in 2011, 2015, and 2021 were quite impressive as those were high quality wins (especially 2021). 2010, 2013, and 2017 Michigan was average at best and the rest of the games they were awful. On the flipside, Michigan has not fared well against good MSU teams. 2003 was the last time we beat an Msu team that was halfway decent.

I suspect that the odious trolls posting above probably graduated top of their class from "Hamburger University", or Billy Bob's Skool of Kar Washin'. It has been my experience that those of us who actually went to these universities develop a grudging respect for each other. It doesn't make it any less sweet to see Paul Bunyan in Green and White, but I would never trash talk someone like you the way I do some of those hangers on who give UM fans such a bad reputation. +JD Allen You have just proved that the old saying, "There are no stupid questions" is wrong. A small college without a conference is not even CLOSE to being on a level playing field with a university in one of the most prestigious conferences in the nation. Everyone going to face masks did not change the dynamic in terms of funding, recruiting, facilities, etc. but MSU joining the Big Ten, and being recognized as a major university DID. If you actually WENT to UM and studied anything worthwhile, you would recognize the difference between significant variables and insignificant variables. It's the same reason that when I was seven, and my brothers were ten and twelve, they could beat me at everything, but once we all grew up, things were very different. So when I play chess with my oldest brother, he doesn't harken back to all the years he beat me as a child, and when I play basketball with my other brother, he doesn't either. They are smart enough to understand that a significant variable changed in the equation and we are now more or less equals, even though we weren't always. Grow the fuck up and realize this simple fact.

Smaller university, smaller endowment, higher acceptance rate, fewer conference titles, fewer national titles, lower program winning percentage, etc. All that stuff is implied in "Little Brother." There was some unique timing circa 2008-2015 where Michigan was going through some unusually bad years while MSU had some of their best years in program history, which allowed them to say things like "8 of the last 10." But now that Michigan finally has competent coaching and appears to have their program identity dialed in no one really expects that trend to continue and this rivalry should re-correct itself.
