Little Cottonwood Trail, Wasatch National Forest, Utah- January 2024

Finally back out on trail after a wild January! This was a really nice winter hike with the microspikes on. Just moving on trail felt great and being in the shadow of the mountain most of the time was chilly but fun!

Being out like that, I'm sure that was the best hike of the year. Refreshing! Yeah, that total black map was crazy. I'm glad we are back within safe ranges again. Take care!

It sure was nice after being locked in the house minus walking in my neighborhood. I have done over 60 miles walking in the hood since January and it really was a nice reset on getting out. I kind of needed a break from KZbin, and to get some stuff ready for this years adventures. So having the timeout was nice to get that all sorted. What I really missed was the sound of water running. Once you get past the Wasatch Resort, you get a nice running creek. I want to go father up as I know there are some fishing holes, maybe stay the night. This was a first visit I am sure I will be back! Thanks for watching!

We had a cold snap with a fair amount of snow, and then it warmed up snow levels ros to about 7,000’. Yep, it hasn’t been a great year for the ski resorts, but I don’t ski so I don’t pay super close attention. Wow, if you could get a permit for the Wonderland trail that would be amazing, I’m sure you’d love it. I’ve hiked a little of it here and there- I love the whole Mount Rainier area! 👌👍@@ChristianPaulPhotography
