Absolutely the right approach, go along with it. I have seen people try to 'bring dementia patients back' and it not only confuses them but they lose a good memory they are reliving (which is a gift). Listen and you may learn something you didnt know about a loved ones past experience

But I have witnessed family members lose their joy trying to correct an ever pershing memory instead of embracing moment to moment.

Most wholesome, beautiful, adorable moment ever ❤❤ just subscribed from the UK ❤❤ my nan got dementia and sadly passed away when i was 18 she only got to meet my oldest but had dementia before he was born 😞 i have had 3 more boys since so im a mum to 4 boys but from that day on when my nan sadly passed away i went and worked in dementia homes looking after the elderly with dementia i wanted to give something back to them for everything they have done, wanted to help them, i couldn't help but get attached, quite a few of them we had a really close relationship ❤❤ sending you all love and hugs ❤❤
