Sailin' Shoes was the LP that introduced me to at to Little Feat, at the tender age of 14 or 15, so it will always be my fave. It reminds me of happy, relatively care-free times. The more I listen to Richie Hayward's drumming, the more I appreciate what a fine percussionist he was. Sadly I only got to see the band live a few days after Richie's passing, so that was a bitter sweet experience. Thanks for the music of our lives guys.

I've seen them many times With and without Lowell. I saw Lowell's solo show. Not many can say that sadly. I've been to Jamaica. My all time favorite band. I'd say they should be in the R&R Hall of Fame but I doubt it will happen.

Wow! Thanks for all the extras. Demo outtakes are always interesting to listen to. You can compare the original with the finished version. Plus, the early live stuff is quite good too.

I almost just punched my roommate when she asked for the 15th time is that country? Cause she knows I don’t care for country. Little Feat can do country or any damn thing they want. They got it all! These fellas practically kept me alive in the teenage nervous breakdown years and after. I love them so much. They got my head straight yesterday and again they will today. Feel normal when they’re on. Thanks for posting.

Listening, one could easily think this was from Georgia or Mississippi, but no one would guess California. Nobody sounded like Little Feat. Truly a sound and style all their own.

Country is a subjective term. I honestly consider it Country, in a good way. The best kind of country music.

Any time I listen to LF I ALWAYS hear something I hadn't heard before. As with other accompanying LF friends they (LF) have remained my favorite band of all time (FBOAT). Their musical depth, lyrical stories deeply resonate with me now and until I reach the grave. I can't stop the groove in my legs when I listen to any of their albums. Any one of their albums is my absolute favorite. Sorry, not making a choice on that. LOL LF forever!!! "Every one will hip-hooray when you put on your sailing shoes" ; )

Lowells Drug Problems in 1972-73 were no worse than Richie Haywards, or Paul Barrere. His decline was Illustrated By his Dwindling Song composition. Saw Little Feat 10 times between 1972-1978.Should be In R&R hall but did not sell enough records for the powers that be. His massive weight gain coincided with his addiction

Rhino Warners "executives"...Why did you obliterate and crop Neon Park's original art on your "deluxe" CD?? What possible reason could you have to list the CD tracks on a ridiculously huge red square on the back portion of the original gatefold LP cover when you can put them on a booklet inside? Why crop the entire lower portion of the original LP cover when it easily fits intact on the CD cover? Did you give the job to an unaware teenager who cares nothing about art? Did the surviving members of the band approve of this art butchering?? Why did you do the same useless thing on your Dixie Chicken "deluxe" CD??

I had a feeling this might come up. This is where the only compromise had to be made with regards to these deluxe editions. The back cover of Sailin' Shoes, by necessity, would need to be altered in some way to account for the full tracklisting of this deluxe edition (the original tracklisting was displayed across a very small portion of the back cover). The designer for the project came up with a genius idea: put the full tracklist on a huge sticker on the back cover. We were able to successfully do this for the vinyl version as that format had a larger budget. The CD, however, did not have the same budget, and in order to put the sticker on the back of the CD would have necessitated a much higher retail price, which is something I did not want to happen. Begrudgingly, we had to alter the CD artwork only as such. It is retained in full for the vinyl version. You win some. You lose some... and yes, the band approved this release in full. They are completely supportive of what we're trying to do to further their legacy.
