I'm also gardening on my balcony. It's my first year and when September hits it'll be my second year. I'm learning a lot and gotten discouraged multiple times from unfruitful harvests. It's the little humble first harvest where it clicks. Tasting my own grown tomatoes has just encouraged me to pursue gardening more. Happy gardening to you and everyone else!

Every thing about this video is what I've needed. I came to this video for the balcony garden ideas, but found so much more. When you talked about the hesitancy to start a project out of fear it would fail and the feeling being average at everything, I felt that. Yet you still showed something absolutely wonderful at the end of it all. So many of us doubt our selves, yet you have shown that even with the self doubt, we can create great things. Thank you.

This was so inspiring! I’m soon getting my balcony ready for spring/summer and I’m very excited! Since I live in Norway and it’s very cold during the winter, the balcony always goes into hibernation mode🙈 It’s so refreshing to fix it and make it cozy again with lots of plant projects 🌱

I love it, thanks for sharing. At the insect hotel, splinters can be seen on the tubes. You should definitely sand these down. Insects can injure their wings.

FYI - not all grubs are pests. There are quite a few who life from dead plant material and fertilize the soil. Some eat life roots yes, but before you throw everything away, there are guides how different grubs look. I have the larve of Flower chafers in every planter and so far I could not see any damages on my plants. Everything grows well. And if you get them out, look if you have someone with chickens near you, chickens love to eat them :D
