I was a reporter for the local ABC affiliate there a little less than 20 years ago and did a story on this grave. They actually let me inside the little house to get better footage. It’s a precious, yet sad story.

Ty for sharing. And welcome to my hometown, Lanett!! My husband's parents live right near the dollhouse!! During Christmas time, they light it up with Christmas lights. A great way for her spirit to live on, and in a sense, it's a way for her to enjoy the season!!

It's sad how so many children don't get anywhere near as much remembrance. Why can't every child have something like this? I know, people will say it costs too much or whatever. People don't tend to get along, but one thing that almost everyone can agree on is the innocence of a child. Every child is special.

Too painful for parents.Only been to 1 kid's funeral and I saw a strong woman rendered unrecognisable. Sad but some parents move and leave the grave to friends to maintain and visit Xmas and birthdays.

What bothers me is constant stories in the news of graves being opened up in the name of archaeology. It seems like after a couple hundred years it’s okay to disturb graves. I hope this little girl’s grave goes un examined forever.
