I remember this song back in '66 when I was still in HS. Loved it then and as well as now. Just learned how to play this on my Ibanez strat copy. The guy playing the 12 string looks like Chet Adkins. I'm sorry to hear that Don Baskin passed away. I knew they were a little older than me. I'm now 69 and Don was 73 last year. I always loved this song. Great lead licks. I always considered this to be part of the "beach music" of the era. That's why I learned to play it on guitar.

My Favorite song as a kid, and still never get tired of playing this vid, SO well done! In 1966 when I was 10 I use to sit/ride in the Passenger seat of my cousin's 65 Red Culass 442 Vert White interior, 401 4 speed, and when this song came on, I remember my cousin had to get on it. THAT was a car! We'd pull up to Stop lights on HWY 100 in West Allis Wis and he'd lay a 20 on the dash and yell at the guy in the car next to him "Wanna run em?" He was only 15 with a PERMIT and my Uncle/My Godfather bought it for him at the auction. It was hit light in the front, so he put on new fenders and hood/radiator and grill, but NEVER got to the Bumper. What a FAST and hot car! Such a Rock'n/innocent time !
