Little House was one of my favorite shows to watch. They had a perfect cast of characters and a different story each week that seemed to teach morals and family values that you don't see on TV today. What I find interesting is the behind the scenes stories about the friendships of the cast members and how Melissa Gilbert and Allison Arngrim became such good friends while playing rivals on the show. I also liked Michael Landon's show Highway to Heaven even though it was short-lived but he was a good actor and created some good shows.

Little House has always been an inspiration for family values, when life went on without cellphones,internet and tv…

I still didn't like it when I was young in the 70s. I was more into WKRP, Streets of San Francisco, MASH

Definitely think there needs to be another installment for LHOTP. I mean, what about ALL the other characters? 😃

"Michael Landon" was actually Eugene Maurice Orowitz from New York city. A Jewish kid from Brooklyn. I really find stage names astounding, sorry-

In high school, no one would sit by him at lunch, because he was Jewish. I sure would sit by this beauty!

@@shimmeringfairydust3275 You went to a stupid racist high school. If that had happened at Bedford Public Schools the principal would have done nothing about it. Only when it hit the national news that this backwards place 5 miles north of Toledo, Ohio in Mish-gin had this level of stupidity would it become a problem.....

Audiences prefer shorter American names to remember. Simple as that!

@@KarenFrey-h4k That is true, but it is also true that then AND TODAY that obviously Jewish people are indeed derided. The Democratic party has stood by Jewish people from day one since while we may not personally believe in a persons beliefs, we believe in their right to hold them and live by them. And that is what the Democratic party is all about.

That video has nothing to do with the cast members that died to young as the title said...pretty sad but the video is informative

This was a great show for it's time, it was 50 years ago when it aired. Time to put it on the back burner.

What about Mrs. Olson?
@GM-vf7px2 ай бұрын
Very Inspirational Series! I heard that the set they used was either polluted or a landfill-maybe this was the cause of some of their ailments!Also there were so many external factors that the cast members faced individually but still the series rose above everything to leave an indelible mark on the world!

My parents never watched this since all the women wore long dresses. Dad MOST CERTAINLY watched all the awards shows, the Grammy's, the Emmy's, the Tony's... Why? The "pussy" was being shown off.... My dad would buy something in the department stores and if there was a magazine wrack next to the cashier it invariably held a Playboy. Dad would right in front of us check out the centerfold! Haha, and he had two stacks of the magazine 2 feet tall in the cupboard in the family room next to the fireplace. This is how I grew to understand sex and how it worked at the age of 8, he didn't have to tell me anything. That is really a good idea in my opinion.

So Michael Landon & Phillip Tracy died young - but who else in the cast? Very misleading title. My favorite episode is when Ma used her dress goods to make Mary & Laura dresses for the school composition reading & Laura gives an impromptu speech about Ma. The tears flowed…
