Not so underrated considering its the 6th most visited city in the world. Only Bangkok is ahead of it in Southeast Asia.

If you guys are in the mood for shopping, come back to KL, Malaysia, the current exchange rate, USD1 = RM4. 9, it's almost as high as during the Asian crisis in 1997.

The flowers there are garlands for prayers by the Indians. You are spot on about exploring the alleys where you get to see the real Malaysian daily living conditions not advertised in tourist brochures. Buddhism originates from India. Therefore a very common sight to see cross prayers and celebrations among the Malaysian Indians & Chinese. That float you saw with the various Taoist deities was very recently used in the Month of the Hungry Ghosts' street parade in the neighborhood. Ladies wishing to get pregnant would visit the beloved Thean Hou Temple, praying for spiritual support. You should lift those oracle sticks higher to drop them harder so that one will stick up prominently. This is the very modern way for an oracle reading at the temple. Many temples in the country still do the traditional way of shaking a bunch of numbered bamboo sticks in a bamboo holder, focusing on the goal of the prayer, to get a stick that will be shaken off the holder. It is superstitious to blow candle flame off with your mouth, especially in a temple. Fan it off with your hand ! You should try the Banana Leaf Curry, asking for dhall curry or fish curry which is not spicy. Or say "NOT HOT" in broken English OR stick out your tongue & fan it, to gesture to the vendor that you do not want spicy food. You should also try the famous Indian "pulled" tea which is actually a milk tea with spices like cardamom and cloves. Overall, love this vlog of yours. You did a good job !

I often hear western tourists complaining about spicy food in Malaysia. But the more often they try it, the more they like it, and even after returning to their country of origin, they look for spicy food because they lose their appetite without it. It's the same situation as durian fruit. Many who try it for the first time cannot stand the smell and give various opinions about the taste. Half think like onion taste and others. But the more often they try, the more they miss the unique bitter taste of durian.

Actually close to 9 Million Population (greater Kuala Lumpur metro). A lot of KZbinrs say 2 Million off of Wikipedia, but it is is only in the city proper. I mean, that's a lot of skyscrapers for 2 Mill, lol. Nevertheless, the most STUNNING and EXCITING city to travel to or live in.

@@travelwithusforlife Yes, mostly Malaysians are living in suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, more relaxing environment, but mostly foreigners/foreign workers or expats prefer to live in Kuala Lumpur.
