Julie- I love that you painted out the wood cabinet on the wall. Otherwise one's eye would go immediately there. As a designer, I think anything on a wall such as this, should blend in to the wall colour. Canadian & American with British roots , not that it matters. I love watching the renovation

it’s all so lovely! some thrifted glass vases can look like pinkish or purplish glass but are irridized from the sun. older glass often contained manganese and turns color from excess light, collectors call it “sun purpled” and consider the glass actually ruined from a collector’s value standpoint. but of course great for casual decor.

WOW!! It’s really starting to come together Julie!! I love the colours you’ve chosen, as they’re so pretty, but also relaxing as well. Pop in some Bubbles & a Bath Bomb & that Bathroom will be such a relaxing haven. I can’t believe you put that top on top of the Wardrobe either. & to think...The you know what Physiotherapist I had to deal w/in the Fall both scoffed at, & also made fun of, doing Yoga when he asked if I was able to do any kind of Exercises at Home. First time he did that to me, I asked him if he’d ever done a Downward Dog. When he snottily said no, I told him to look it up & then try to tell me Yoga isn’t a true form of Exercise. That wasn’t the only run in we had. I was born w/a Bone Disease & done my fair share of Physio after Orthopedic Surgeries, so I know the difference beteen a good Physio & the bad ones. I ran into one of my old ones a few weeks ago. I told her what had happened & she wasn’t happy. Especially as she’s his Boss. Which I honestly didn’t know. She said she’s gotten more than few complaints about him, but how he spoke to me the last time I had the misfortune of working w/him, she said it was time to sit him down hard & lay down the Law. He’s been more than warned about how he does things, so... Anyway, when I told her what his opinion on Yoga was, she doubled over laughing. She then asked me, “Please tell me you told him 99% of what we tell our Patients to do ARE Yoga exercises?” I didn’t, because I knew he wouldn’t believe me. I told her that she could do that during their “little chat”. Wish I could see his face when she does... 😈 So yeah...Yoga does build up muscles & stamina &...You know. 😁 Can’t wait to see how the bed looks & ties in everything in the Bedroom. I have my Dad’s Wrought Iron Bed that he used growing up on the Farm & I love it so much. They truly are timeless pieces aren’t they.? Also give great support too. I LOVE those prints/Dried Flower Art you got. Can’t wait to see them framed & up on your wall. It’s really coming together & looking so beautiful & cozy. Can’t wait to see the next instalment!! Thanks for bringing us along & Take Care!! 😊

Sometimes the bubbles in the paper you put in the drawer can be fixed by poking a straight pin or thin needle in the middle of the bubble. I have used this little trick a number of times and when the air escapes the bubble flattens. Might bei worth a try.

The place is really coming along, I am so envious of all the brocantes/antique shops you have in Europe that are affordable and make repurposing older pieces easy and affordable.
