Good setup with the avet. I just upgraded my jigging setup with diawa tw400 bait caster and goofish rod. Been getting more action than live bait this winter in Hawaii.

I've got a Grappler paired with Torium 16hg- love it. Great spj for jigs under 180g. For jigs over 180g I use a Star acid wrapped. I've pretty much use nothing but Johnny Jigs. Try your combo with a Jj 160g gold and glow flatty. You'll thank me later. :)
@TheLawlessTide2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, would the 160g be to heavy for where I fish? 90 feet is the deepest I get. Thanks for any input and appreciate the suggestions!
@TimNye8502 жыл бұрын
@@TheLawlessTide I'm here in Pcola too, see you on the groups and here, so we fish same area. Most my fishing is under 90'. I like the big jigs 150-200g at that depth for scamp, aj, snapper and all the other stuff ya get. Big fish like big baits, they're not interested in chasing after small stuff- just not worth the energy. I like the 60-100g for verms and trigger- green and pinks seem to do well. Gold and red for snaps, scamp, grouper. And pelegics seem to like silvers. I'm fairly new to jigging and just fell in love with it and kinda went nuts with it. Just so much fun and active fishing. And so many new species I've caught. Hope to see more spj videos from ya!
