It's so inspiring that lkj uses techniques that humans can replicate. it would be so easy for him to simply stretch his fingers and play anything he wanted, but instead he limits himself for us. One of the most thoughtful composers of our time.

I've been re-teaching myself piano, I want to learn this so bad. As a side note, I work in childcare and as a rule I tend to avoid screen time for the kids. That said, I showed them the beginning of Happy Man and now as a treat we've been watching one episode a day. They love it. Thank you for all your beautiful work, Ratboy!

Unless you actively seek it out, new classical music never goes mainstream and you'll never hear it. Which is a horrible, awful shame. Pieces like this ought to be played on the radio for people to appreciate. Maybe the current generation would be happier if they could hear this instead.

I found rat boy genius years ago, and was enraptured by it. I watched every video as it came out, drew fanart (that I was too embarrassed to post) and still to this day do I remember the music behind it. Rat boy genius may seem like “weird KZbin stuff” to some, but to many of us out there it’s an experience that tests the depths of artistic capability. Music and Story Can more than make up for animation, and the animation honestly adds to the charm. I’m happy that still Ryan works on this and we can still expect to see more from him. Ratboy Genius is a wonderful work of art. I first saw Potato Knishes and was merely amused, thinking it a silly thoughtless meme, a joke, nothing of importance. But when I discovered the many stories this series had to tell, the character growth and development, and the masterfully composed songs, I fell in love. Long live Ratboy Genius!

Cringe culture is dead, finally. We've come to the point where this stuff is actually decent quality, and I'm glad. People were always thrown away by the animations, never stayed for the stories, or even the music! I've been waiting for the day I could quote ratboygenius without getting weird looks thrown at me, and I quoted him today.
