Weird how this and Tiptoes came out within a couple years of each other. That being said I did find this movie pretty funny when I was 13-14. Then again I also found Epic Movie funny then. EDIT: The Bugs Bunny Baby Finster short ripped-off a Little Rascals short from 1939. And an episode of Chip N'Dale Rescue Rangers had the exact same premise.

The basis is older. It's based off the popular 1925 Lon Chaney silent comedy "The Unholy Three". There was also a 1930's talkie version that was Lon Chaney's last film and the only time his voice was recorded. It was about three robbers, all men, one of whom was a little person, who hid from the law by pretending to be a family. Lon Chaney dressed in drag as the mother, another pretended to be the father, and the little person in the gang pretended to be a baby.
