Spot on. We did the Hop On Hop Off and it wasn’t much fun tbh. Agree about the Mermaid - a bit under whelming. Did manage a coffee and churros on Nyhavn though. Thank you for bringing it all back 😀

I’m sure you realize this as you lived in Europe years ago, but Europe in general is getting more and more tourists! We were in Copenhagen for three days in the summer of 2011 and, although there were some crowded areas such as Nyhavn, it was still nowhere near as crowded as I see it now. We did go to Tivoli around 5 pm and stayed until around 9:30 and enjoyed it very much.

Agree, it's amazing how many tourists these cities are absorbing now. However I still don't think the answer is blocking roads and waterways in protest. Hopefully an answer can be figured out

@@livingphase2yes. We live in a very tourist intense area so I know there are pros as in money being spent here but cons regarding crowded roads and other infrastructure

We never had any of those issues when we docked in Copenhagen. We went in September and never had an issue with the hop-on-off bus. The place where we had an issue with the HOHO bus was in Gothenburg Sweden….many people had to Uber back to the ship

Yes. Hop on hop off buses are certainly hit or miss anymore.

I’ve never seen Copenhagen so crowded! I enjoyed Tivoli when I was last there. It was magical at night. Merry Christmas! 🎄

My anxiety would have been off the charts with those crowds Heck, I gut anxious just watching the video. How did you get Danish currency for the first bus at the port?
@livingphase219 күн бұрын
That’s a great question. A friend bailed us out and we paid them back.

How many European ports did you need to clear passport/customs ?
@livingphase219 күн бұрын
The ship would always have to clear Immigration and Customs but most of the time it was a non-event for us. For some reason Copenhagen was the worst

So we're you there during the summer months, as far as tourist crowds go?

Crowds were thick.
