So my guess is, when she stood in the middle of the road, when she saw the "monster", her soul was being transported to the spirit realm (because she was hit by a car) and then Morgo plopped her soul back onto earth.

His species created the beyond, a realm outside the five realms that has no logic or physics, and they use that realm to fake areas for luring in children's souls after getting them killed to devour instead of letting them go to senersedee. 18:34 and 1:53:07 is what the beyond looks like. From the moment the intro plays at the road until Morgo is defeated she is in the beyond. The reason they call Morgo a parasite is probably because his kind feeds off the happiness in children before eating their souls, and Misfortune was so ripe with it, even in the worst times, that he became obsessed with it, which is why he kept wanting to 'play' with her. That's my theory though.

@@ungodly yeah. Like a trap with food in it to capture animals to eat later. Same concept. Also, they take out kids cuz adults tend to see or understand a stretched out trap for them to blunder into unless it's smooth and suave to the point of being invisible until its too late. In other words, kids are easier to hunt for creatures of the beyond. Love this game and Fran Bow. Too bad I have a nightmarish history from pills or I'd watch Fran Bow again.

that would be kirin. i am a bit confused about what it does mean tho. kiri means cut but can also refer to a sword as well as to an ending. not sure which interpretation to go with but maybe something like "where is the end" ? or maybe hiro is a samurai ghost asking for his sword

I can relate when Mr. Voice was disappointed with Misfortune's misfortunes and said that he was stuck with her. My boyfriends in my lifetime so far tell me the same thing cuz of my mental health issues. So yes. Misfortune can say "Fuck you" all she wants. :)
