This song reminds me of myself. I am 77 years old. I often think of years ago and think where did the time ago. I also treasure Christmas cards, but don't hardly get any anymore. Paul, What a beautiful song by Sam Ensley. It does remind me of my Grandma and all the little old ladies I grew up around at the church I attended. They were truly the sweetest old ladies. They are all gone on to be with the Lord now. I love the melody of this song. I hate you were so tired when you recorded this and i hope you aren't coming down with something. I love that train and the decorations Pap and Granny made for you. I am proud you have hung on to them many kids throw stuff away years later but I am to sentimental. I hang on to probably to much stuff. Looking forward to you, Jamie and Wayde getting together to collaborate on a song. I saw Corie and Katie's video talking about Granny. Debbie, we greatly appreciate your prayers and for asking your church to also pray for Granny! No need for concern on my part. I was just plain old tired. That's what I get for putting off the video until late the night before! They didn't make that train for me. It's just one they made that was never sold or given away. I don't remember how I wound up with it, but it's been in a cabinet until this year. :-) Maybe I can pass it on to one of Steve's kids or Katie or Corie. Paul, long ago I heard somebody opine that 'getting old' was hard, in part, because one's 'culture' goes away. I know I didn't deeply understand it then, because I wasn't old enough yet. Paul, that song is so lovely. I have begun seeing a little old lady in my mirror, and you sang a sweetness about it that somehow makes that a bit less scary. I just got that gospel CD from you and Pap (and a couple others). Made the mistake of listening to it in the car the first time around and some of the lyrics just had me bawling - beautiful songs AND Pap talking - it's really special.
