Everybody in rock and roll does that "WOO!" The Beatles, Michael Jackson, tons of others. I've heard Japanese bands do it. And they all got it either from Little Richard, or from somebody who got it from Little Richard.

RIP Little Richard. A great man born in the wrong time. Disrespected for his sexuality, but blessed with so much Charisma. A gift from the Universe. 💥

One of my favorite quotes of his was, "Elvis may be the king of rock and roll , but I'm the queen". And that was a time when not only was it unsafe to be black, it was also unsafe to be effeminate and gay.

@@joeyrobison6629 Clearly, but thankfully less now so. I promise. I've been around in both times. Now it's the anomoly, then it was an everyday occurrence. Brutal times bro.

according to Alan Walden, who was later Otis Redding and Lynyrd Skynyrd's manager, he and his brother Phil (Capricorn Records) saw Richard downtown walking around Macon, Ga with a pink parasol. They hollered tutti frutti at him, Richard then playfully started singing it back at them jokingly, and the rest is history...

You hit the nail on the head. True that to everything you said. Little Richard was a wild man, and I've always loved him. Keep on.
