Wow, the views off that trail were a beautiful overview of the valley! Nice to see you and the Mrs. making some special appearances. You were motoring up that trail like a "lean, mean, fighting machine!"

I lived in Massanutten Ski Resort when I was a teenager. Thanks for the memories. It is still as beautiful now. I used to climb up the side of the mountain to my "secret spot" about 2X a week to get away from my siblings. lol Thanks for the video. Editing was great too.

The overlook area where you mention that the trail you’re on is part of the Appalachian Trail is what I picture when I think of the AT. This overlook really showcases the classic, rugged beauty of the AT. My son & his friend just hiked the AT from its start in Georgia to Gooch Gap. He said it was amazing and that he can’t wait to do more of it.

We were there just a few weeks back! We just parked at the trailhead parking lot closest the the peak as we were just getting in all the hikes we could in the couple of days we were there! Definitely going back sometime in the fall this year or next to see it all with the fall colors!

Did you go left or right at the trail head?

The trail branched off to the left as I recall. There was a nice overlook to the right that we tried first I believe.
