Ed Sheeran did "Little Things" tonight (11/18/12) @Paris to celebrate the fact this song, by One Direction and writing by Ed, got number 1.

Ed was in the studio when 1D recorded this. He basically taught those boys exactly how he wanted this to sound. The label was going to put in drums and change up the whole sound, but Ed fought for it to be completely stripped and acoustic. So whatever this song is, it's cause of Ed.

You realise this is one of the reasons he is such an inspiration to me. Not only is he an amazing songwriter and singer but he thoroughly understands the music world. His song is still beautiful and amazing but by letting the latest boy band of the time sing it, his message was still shown to the world, maybe even to a larger audience whilst also allowing him to make a great living from his music. He has learnt the way the industry can change so quickly, through his rise to fame, that he knows how to stay alive, allowing him to continue to heal people for what I expect will be a long and prosperous career.

Because you're lucky if you get to see a celebrity live and when you sing it's because you want to enjoy your time there while you still can and sometimes that singer will notice you and it's really special. Ed Sheeran is such a talented song writer. His songs always feel real and meaningful, as soon as I heard that Ed had wrote this song I could hear him all the way through. It was an honor to attempt to cover this song, despite never having sang before but I thought I would give it a go. Its stripped back like ed's and by no means perfect so opinions would be much appriciated. Oh and much love for ed sheeran!
