Great video, I can’t get enough! Your camera is amazing 🤩 I just added a pair of white spotted dwarf gobys to my 20 gallon last week, they are kind of shy, but bring me a lot of peace watching them.

@@AquaSplendor I absolutely love it ! It gives you so much space to work with with those dimensions with such little water volume. My next nano I’m looking for something exactly like this but nothing is out there .. I went with the 15g waterbox for now

Beautiful tank. If you don't want to put h2o2 in your tank directly...Take the rocks out, apply it to the algea, bathe your corals with tank water if youre worried. Give it a solid 15 min. Then rinse the affected area with rodi or tank water before returning the rock to the tank. The algae will die and melt away from the rock in the next 5 days.
@AquaSplendor3 жыл бұрын
And than get many comments "omg why did you get you rock out you could kill all your corals". I've done it 😅 But I wanted h2o2 in the water!

thank you! Question: my aquarium is fully of bioload, he was doing great until yesterday! I added 50 small hermit crabs • for a sudden growth of brown algae around the tank, this morning some corals were looking with white spots and stressed. This is not the first time after adding a new organism, that's why I don't like to add any other animal to my tank but some people recommend me add more hermit and was only a cleaning crew. I did a water change 50% like I always do when this issue happens, 1 shot of nitrifying bacteria and activated carbon. Any comments regarding this issue?
@AquaSplendor7 ай бұрын
Adding more hermit crab won't change this. Keep your nitrate and phosphate at a steady level and with times a balance will form but you most keep maintening your tank, clean it when you can. For example, I don't let the algae grow on glass too long, it take my phosphate which is needed for the coral, and I do my best to keep the phosphate a steady level, manually. White spot on coral could indicate some infection but leather for example will get the upper hand generally speaking with time. you can add bacteria, but before adding, you most know what is inside, make search verification on internet if the bacteria in the bottle are good. Avoid companies who hide their stuff.

There's no coral around the chaetomorpha, not sure what you are referring to

i would add that adding macro algae i believe thats what it is was a huge mistake i been picking bits of it out of everything for months..i dont see any here lol. beautiful tank btw...mines more tidal looking with sea weeds and rubble...on its way..i converted this tank it was an established fresh tank...the substrates i use for fresh brak and marine are mostly the same. makes converting fairly easy. although once salty its salty.

my tank is 10 gallons in terms of volume..theres maybe 4 gallon open water. this tank is 6 month old...equipment is a problem. its often too powerful or not enough in some way. so fa i have 5 corals, i giant feather duster and a sand anemone..all but 1 are amazingly doing great...the trouble maker is this blue cesp...i can tell it isnt pleased about something be darned if i know what its problem is..water stability is tricky. so i been diong more water changes that helps..with a small tank i can afford good water instead of tap or conditioned that helped. but the blue cesp still dont look as it should.

What is the purpose of introducing spirorbis to the aquarium? It seems most consider it a pest! To increase biodiversity? Thanks for the awesome videos by the way. The new light looks so good!!
@AquaSplendor3 жыл бұрын
Yes, biodiversity. I plan to feed more eventually so having more of these should help a little bit.

Have you ever tried to use peroxide hydrogen in homeopatic doses in the flow? kinda like less than 1 ml per 40 liters, every 2 days. I`m currently using in my nano and, slowly its killing all hair algae. Some of them are harder to kill, but I just do what you did in this video, to complement the process.

@@AquaSplendor of course 👍🏻I tried first REDX from Fauna Marine, that kills every other algaes, but not the green one 🥴🤗
@richardportelli19833 жыл бұрын
You should just grow hair algae instead of chaeto, should keep the hair algae out of the display easily.
