Clifton Nurseries were a huuuge part of my childhood, in the mid 60s. They were an oasis of green and peace among the grinding noise and dirt of central London. I don't know if my mother ever bought a single thing there.. But whewwww, did the Nurseries make an impression!

Love Little Venice, been there a few times but not to Clifton Nurseries, must do that next time I go ... There's a nice little cafe on Edgeware Rd,up towards Maida Vale, called Cafe Laville with a smallish but very nice outside deck that overlooks the canal leading to the Lagoon where you can sit and have coffee-tea/cakes, especially on a nice sunny day etc .. I love the canals, walked along many. Love the stretch along Victoria Park, and into the Park itself, South Hackney as its now called lol .. The long stretch of Vicky Park fronts 2/3rds of the Hertford Canal which runs from the River Lea to the East, and then joins the Regents Canal at the other end-which then runs up the side of Vicky Park ... Lovely round there ...

Hey Robert..I like the way to include little tidbits of history of the districts you feature in your vids. I can't believe some people in past actually had it in mind to fill in those canals. What could they have been thinking.

I absolutely LOVE what you're doing with this channel, a little slice of London, the parts that you don't see on TV or in movies. I love living here, London, the best city in the world and you capture the magic of London so well. You've got a new loyal subscriber and fan in me!

Hello Robert, from Canada. I just subscribed to your channel, although I've watched several of your vlogs over a few months. I particularly enjoyed this one as I took in the 2017 Cavalcade during my time in London last spring; perhaps our paths crossed that day! I walked the towpath from Camden to Little Venice, and beyond that day. I'm keeping a eye out for new London spots to enjoy during my next holiday, so keep them coming, with thanks. Cheers. Stephen

I live in Covent Garden. So i'm so sick of bloody tourists clogging up the pavements. But i love going to hidden parts of London. I loved your Shepherd Market video. Loulou's exclusive club used to be a lovely old characterful restaurant called Tiddydols. Beautiful building. I never went to the restaurant. But i love reading the history of it. They had a very good recipe for spicey gingerbread & their welsh rarebit (posh cheese on toast) with guinness & worcester sauce was meant to be something very special... By the way, if Chloe's still pissed off with you. I'd share a glass of wine with you!! Drinking some wine n killing some time.

Robert, I've read that tourists can take their own excursions to Kew Gardens and Hampton Court Palace via the Tube to Richmond end of line, then on City Bus to the palace. So can I request a Vlog on that subject to see if it can be done easily for tourists?
@SandyQueue8 жыл бұрын
+JCTraveler4107 I'd love to see a Vlog journey as you suggest... but I can also tell you from experience that it is quite easy to get to Kew, Hampton Court, Windsor Castle, and Wimbeldon from central London via Tube or combination of Tube / Train / Bus. Good luck in your journey!

I have not been to this area, though I have heard of it. It looks like a lovely place to live. I daresay it is horribly expensive too!
