It is great that they are finally taking the time to upgrade the infrastructure of the building. Upgrading the wiring and plumbing in a place full of so many irreplaceable objects needs to happen every so often. It would be such a loss if anything happened. We all ready saw that happen at Windsor once. I may be on the other side of the pond but I have been fascinated with Windsor Castle since I was 5. I have yet to get there to see the place but I stood in my living room watching the news of that fire and just cried.

I used to think it was very cool to live in a huge palace or place. However after a short stay in a friend's large house, I felt a kind of emptiness in such huge space, with many empty rooms and showroom-worthy decorations that serve minimum purpose. I realised it is the liveliness that matters. I wouldn't want a house which is dark and unoccupied in most parts of it.

It would be so refreshing if they had someone interview who knew what they were talking about the interviewer from seven news Australia was impressed with something that is over 50 years I mean asking why the service had to be redone they haven’t been done since the 50s I mean really

The queen hated Buckingham palace, they have a real bad rat problem at that palace specifically.

Rats have always been a problem in the palace even going all the way back to the time of Queen victoria. I heard one rumor that she supposedly was deathly afraid of rats and hated the sight of them.

It's all very nice to have such a very, very, very big building. I am sure that many homless people would be glad to have a roof over their heads on very very very cold nights and something to eat and drink even to sleep in warm, fresh, smelling sheets. Or even to be able to change their clothes, that would even be better.

It was a necessary job to be done or we may have had another catastrophe like Windsor castle. Imagine trying to rescue all the objects out of this long room alone from a fire!! So hopefully all the wiring etc was done properly & that the work was done so that they can protect areas if a fire does break out somewhere. I wonder how the wallpaper is attached to the wall as ours never came off in one piece, no matter how gentle we were.

Too much concentration on the two women and not enough on the Artworks...We could have listened to that interview in off while more detail should have been given to the pieces... was a waste of camera access.

@@JamesBrown-ij1px Heh genius, not everyone lives in London and I am pretty sure King Charles wants as many people to see it as possible. It's just the narcissitic "reporters" need their faces pushed in everyone else's, Art works be damned. They could have done the interview in off and shown pieces in detail, but I am guessing you work with those pathetic "ladies".
