It's good to see new businesses, more jobs coming to Little Village instead of seeing 20+ quinceñera dresses or money laundering fronts. EVERYONE complains about "unsafe" neighborhoods and how 'companies" dont want to invest in them. Then when the businesses money come, ya'll b**** about other s*** (cultural/race changes, cost of living, etc.) Can't have it both ways, and you cant make everyone happy ALL the time!

The problem with your statement is that when the change for the better comes, the longtime residents don't get to reap any of the benefits of the change. They are forced out so the changes for the better means nothing to them or for them. They have to move somewhere else and then hope regentrification doesn't force them to move again.

@@Charlieneumann04 there was NOTHING THERE BEFORE those establishments showed up. The Jewel and the Aldi's that were once nearby closed down. It was so bad that the area, which was once the Englewood Shopping District was repurchased as the new home of Kennedy King College. There's plenty of vacant land north of the area along Halsted. Little Village on the other hand is a vibrant community with little to no vacant land and plenty of businesses along 26th Street and on Kedzie. The neighborhood supports its local businesses. Now a few people have come into the neighborhood and are going to destroy what's there and try to create a new Wicker Park.
