Sounds like you have a lot of respect for Native culture and that makes me thrilled, cos while I'm not native myself I have a lot of friends and family that are and I love learning from them and being able to witness some of their ceremonies. So I'm looking forward to learning more lore from different nationalities. :)

This is a very unique story. I'm glad that there is a work like this that deals with Native American mythology.

This seems like a great project, but I hope realize that it’s important to take great care in making a story that’s based off cultures not your own, especially cultures that have been subject to multiple and continued attempts at erasure. Of course, this point isn’t valid if you’re Native American yourself. But if you’re not, I would recommend having Native American tribes consult you(by paying them if you can afford it) as you work on this. The animation looks really good. Looking forward to the next update!

I think little wolf would have done very well on a major network, that is if kids still watched cartoons. The folklore that you may want to look into The Stikini are sinister monsters from Seminole folklore. Originally they were evil witches, who transformed themselves into owl-beings. By day they still resemble Seminole people, but by night, they vomit up their souls (along with all their internal organs) and become undead owl-monsters that feed on human hearts. In some Seminole communities speaking their name is thought to put you at risk for turning into one, so Stikini stories are only told by certain medicine people. I was recently told a story about such a creature! It revolved around a group of kids suspecting a woman of being a witch. They followed her at night, and watched her run up a tree and turn into a bird-creature. They found the woman's innards in a pot by the tree, and smashed them up. When the bird returned to reclaim her organs and become human again, she died immediately! Awesome! (and also really gross!)

Not entirely. I used Maya for most of the character animation. Some creatures were animated in Krita, if they had a bit role.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Indian families would just straight up ditch their young since they were all about family and sticking together and such, I guess it depends on the kind of tribe

Are you Native? A lot of these stories aren’t just for sale for anyone to use. Be aware of where you get your sources. These are living cultures with complexities and ways that are not for just anyone to use. Native people aren’t a monolith, we are diverse and you can’t just mix and match. You should work with Native people if you want to do this not just grab things from whatever source you come across. I’m not saying you shouldn’t do this but I’m wary that your appropriating from our stories, beliefs and traditions.
