Thanks to leaks from the UK a year or two ago, the PS6 was slated for late 2027 or sometime in 2028 which is roughly around the same amount of years or more between the gap of PS4 to PS5. So them saying its on its last legs is just double downing that we're three or four years away from next gen.

There is a chance that this “multiplayer project” is the long awaited LittleBigPlanet Hub…it was never announced that the game was canceled. It could just be in severe production hell. My personal theory is that at first, they had Sumo Digital working on the game but decided to part ways with them most likely after seeing what happened with LBP 3 and not wanting to repeat the past. After letting go Sumo Digital they could’ve next invited Media Molecule to come work on it and they might’ve said yes. However that’s only a theory and it’s highly unlikely this is actually what happened but it’s still a possibility!

Here’s how they win: I know we hate games as a service… HOWEVER, I think LPB was born for this. Release the game as a free to play game. Make the level editor features fully accessible to all who download it, as well as a handful of MM crafted levels you’d need to play in order to unlock the different tools/stickers you need for the creator. Then you can release DLC how they always have. Level packs. Costumes. Collaboration. Etc. It’s the perfect game for this.

Perhaps the controller is purple because the logo of LittleBigPlanet 4 will be purple as well, I think purple makes the most sense as it is visually appealing and also a more gender neutral colour that is distinct from the other colours used in previous LittleBigPlanet titles on the colour wheel.

I can understand pressure causing them to rush things, but GOD please do not make this be a repeat of LBP3's launch. Personally I never experienced issues with it, but I've heard enough to know that it shouldn't have been rushed to shelves the way it did. They should make it the best it can be, to surpass LBP 1 and 2 should've been LBP3's goal, but hopefully LBP4 will accomplish that. (Also can we have the LBP 1-3 story levels like how LBP Hub's beta had them, it would definitely add plenty of replayability if they won't just flat out give the 100% content of the previous two games like LBP3 did on PS5, unsure if it did the same on PS4)
