Wheel Deep in the fridge tundra in the depths of a unforgiving bunker of the tyrant there lies a wheel. The sound of screams, electricity, and last live checkpoints can be heard. The best of sackfolk died unspeakably gruesome deaths in this contraption from the depths of the underworld. Impossible jumps and maze like interiors made this the ultimate test.

I never knew it was a thing in the community! I used to play LBP with my brother and it was one of the best bonding experiences ever. So much fun, laughter, anger. But I've also tried achieving 100% solo (which is impossible because you require more than 2 controllers for some stuff) and the Wheel is definitely the level that made me go crazy. Nostalgia.

Fun Fact: The distinct string instrument introduced at 2:51 is called a Gusli, which is a very old traditional instrument in Slavic culture (Russia, Poland, etc) which makes sense, because The Wilderness takes place in Russia.

This theme always reminds me of why LBP is so good. It reminds me specifically of "The Bunker". The reason it's so memorable is because it's mood is tense, and it really engages you into the moment in hard circumstances, like the dreaded Wheel. In simpler terms, it is atmospheric.

To this day, I still haven't beat THE WHEEL. But I must say, the collector is probably the best villain in LBP, I love the way that in the beginning of LBP there wasn't a specific villain, even though the collector would always be in one level every world, just hiding there watching your every move. And it amazes me how the collector had his own little set of levels for the players to beat, instead on one simple little boss battle.

He lived in The Wilderness, it was very harsh, Nobody wanted to play in a level so cold and dead. He was stuck in the Bunker, the loneliness tears him apart. All that isolation took a toll on his head. He wanted attention, as well as parts, And thus a plan would unfurl. He started building his rocket, his plan would soon start, By stealing from this Little Big World. He would have it all, every piece and every bob. He would destroy any objecter. I can hear the electric noises. I've heard the electric noises millions of times. I have seen more dead sackmen than any human on this planet. I have seen many face the wheel only to fail, again, and again, and again. The noises of the deaths of the many layers haunts me. If only there was a way to pass the wheel....

Damn dude, I'm tearing up remembering these damn good memories, back in 2009 i was around 5 I played this so much, grew up with it, and loved it. I got the second and third game and was amazed by it at such a young age, but the first is where it really all started for me. I remembering playing with my father on this game, always begging him to get the other controller.. Damn dude, nostalgia is one hell of a trip. Never realized how lovely the OST really was. I'm glad this was uploaded.

I never even tried to ace it as a kid because i just never aced levels, and way later when I tried to ace all levels i just didn't get to it before just stopping because i was busy. A few years later, with my grandma, i try to show her why I think this is the hardest LBP level (she plays with me a lot), i casually, without even realizing, aced it first try. This is the LBP equivalent of calling someone to check on a problem with your PC, and then that problem just fixing itself when they arrive

This song summed up is a mad man's toy factory, a depraved psycho's mind beating like a heart of more swirling shadows It starts like your alone in your own world without problems to handle, the beat feels like chaos and a almost anarchy feeling of exploring a lab of Frankenstein before being made. A dread of all dread builds When the big nber starts it is chaos before your eyes and we can watch it every single way It's a good songs and I don't know what i said tbh but this is chefs kiss

LBP1-3 all share the same issues.. random crashes, disconnects, and data corruption. its BS to spend 60 or however much (even if it were 10 dollars) on a game that performs that of a rushed production. but despite that, I look forward to something like that. something about LBP2 just stuck to me. maybe it's because I was younger when I played, though. still a great game to this day.. dissapointing how it just died out.. but all games do, eventually

Anyone else notice how cool it is that the game ends in what could be considered "the ice world"? As a platformer trope, the final world is usually "the lava world", it's a volcano, etc. But LBP decided for a freezing, mechanical mountain with Russian-esc music as it's finale. Yet another way LBP sets itself apart from any other platformer you've ever played!

Your ancestors have all tried the challenge of saving them all, but have failed. You are different. You have made it to the wheel, the place with the highest death count. You have surpassed it. *Triumphant music plays in the background as the sack thing runs along, dodging many other traps. For the first time, he feels happy. He made a difference*
