Great demonstration. I struggle starting off with the taping. I’d still be on the first and you’d be done and having a tea break. 😀

Really lovely, thank you for sharing! Im wondering if you can give me some tips on the end of the design as Im having trouple with bulkiness and getting it to bend over the comb. Thank you ❤
@LittleBirdBloom2 жыл бұрын
One of the trickiest bits is to make sure you replace as much of the stem with wire as possible. In my experience, the bulk is often caused by still having too much stem left. 🥰

Do you do fresh flower tutorials aswell for hair combs x
@LittleBirdBloom8 ай бұрын
I don't have one on my channel! However you can go ahead and use the same steps only with real flowers. Especially once they're dried, they can last a really long time. 🌸🤗

What gauge wire is this please?
@LittleBirdBloom Жыл бұрын
I use 22 and 24 depending on how light the flowers are (the light the flowers, the higher the gauge hire you can use) 😊

If made with real flowers won’t they just crumble? Or do they need to be fresh?

Flowers are actually pretty resilient little things. I've found, once they're dried, they can last a really long time. 💖

Will the flowers look very lifted off the comb? Making all the wire very visible? Also If using dried lunaria and all those very expensive dried ingredients it's important to educate your client on the cost. Asking their budget is huge so you can see if they can fit a piece like this into it.

Great question! I like to supply extra blooms (individually wired) just in case the customers want to add in those additional pieces. Everyone's hair texture and thickness are so different, that sometimes they're needed. Sometimes they're not. :heart_eyes:

The price looks to expensive compared to the competence when I use the formula
@LittleBirdBloom2 жыл бұрын
Yeah - I used to think that too. The thing that's really helped me is to decide that the industry-standard approach to pricing works. It's been tested by thousands of florists before us and the math works. And, at the end of the day, we have no idea what our customers are thinking. Every human has their own definition of "expensive" and our customers get to decide for themselves. It's kinda like, we don't need to decide if a fancy car is "expensive". We just need to decide that's what we're selling and then set up our systems to make sales simple. 😍

@@LittleBirdBloom I agree, most of florist don't price base on exact costs of products, it is based on emotions basically just as you says on the videos. Now, in my case when I try to calculate the exact price, it happens that the time invested in the numbers ( accounting) is sometimes more than the time it takes me to work in the design. I am accountant but my side passion is flowers. Its almost a year since Im working with flowers and this my main problem, most ppl under charge cause they do not know their numbers and at the end is hard to compete with them. At the end I know they are not profitable as they should.
@LittleBirdBloom2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's a super common scenario for lots of florists. I found though that once you get the pricing sorted and you know you're pricing for profit, then you can shift your focus to learning more about marketing + branding. In my experience, it's the branding piece of the puzzle that makes the pricing issue go away - build a cohesive, informative, helpful brand and your customers will truth you implicitly. They stop asking about the price altogether. 🤗
