Haha yessss the Broken Earth trilogy by Jemisin is a series I gave 5/5 stars ratings for each book. So so GOOOOOD. And complex. And confusing. But it was wonderful. Enjoy. :D

I hope you like Scythe, I am reading the series now and so far it is really good! The 2nd book was super interesting and now I need to finish the 3rd. I can't wait to see what you end up thinking about The City We Became too, I plan on reading it in August so it'll be nice to see what a few people think before.

I have to admit scythe was a book I felt okay about but I hope you will be able to love it more than I did. The world was definitely an interesting one. The Sun is also a star is a very quick read. I still need to get around to watching the film, oops. :3 Loved the first Binti book and need to read another one. The Poet X is so good! But I also want to read with the fire on high, so I don't think you can particularly steer wrong with either one.

Shadow Unit series is pretty binge-worthy, FBI unit for paranormal cases. Authors include Emma Bull, Elizabeth Bear, etc.

I’ve read With the Fire on High and The Poet X, and I definitely think the second one was better. Not a ton of stuff happened in WTFOH.
