its so depressing of a story 😢. The movie put me into a depression, it may be more harmful than helpful.

My great uncle was a big fan of "bandes dessinées" (French comics), I have very fond memories of borrowing his Asterix and Tintin. He gave them to me and my sisters at some point too and I will treasure them always! <3

Seeing death note for the first time is iconic! And I love the studio ghibli nails. I enjoyed starling house and agree with you on the main character sometimes too. A nice gothic feeling read. Ooh you're listening to kindred D: One of my favourite books ever. I'm planning a trip to Japan and I am loving your itinerary!! I am going to have to rewatch at some point and take notes...

I also picked up/spend more time with other hobbies than reading lately, so I thought "It would be funny if she started crocheting or knitting as well" and then you brought the mushroom into frame 😂

A book I've had my whole life, I'm 52, is a nursery book called The Bedtime Book of 365 Nursery Rhymes. My uncle John or parents read that book to me often enough, that i had it memorized. I was "reading" that book each night in bed before I could even read, lol. Another is I Had Trouble in getting to Solla Sollew by Dr. Seuss. I took that book every where as young child, I had it memorized also and read it in front of the class forgetting to turn the pages, lol. A third would be The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. We read that in my 4th grade class and I loved it so much, that my teacher offered me to keep it. I still do have that book also, and you can tell is been read many times, the cover is no longer attached to it, but I have inside the pages

What a great video! 🥰 As for books that changed my life, it would take waaaay too long to list them all, but Ella Enchanted is definitely at the top. I was in first or second grade and I remember listening as our school librarian read us the first chapter. I was completely captivated as I had never had words paint such a vivid picture before. I owe a lot to that book!

The first Dune book had a profound effect on me. I had read it 3 times throughout a year and it was the last time that things sunk it. I was 18 and just had major heart surgery. I had little support from family and people claiming to be my friend just drifting away. I was alone, depressed, sad, frustrated... The Dune series became my escape and comfort. In my later 20's I read The Book Thief, which was a haunting experience. I haven't liked the other books by this one author, Matthew Stover, but his version of Star Wars: Episode III - The Revenge of the Sith was a unique and mind blowing experience. He also wrote a book in the New Jedi Order series and that was just as profound and mind blowing. Matthew Stover's description doesn't just tell a story or characters, he literally made you become that character and feel all those emotions and thoughts. I literally became these characters because of his description.

happy (belated) birthday caz!!! i hope you’ve had a lovely lovely day. i loved the b-roll of candles slowly adding up to 30, that was a lovely detail! i have a lot of books i’d consider extremely influential in my (almost) 25 years, but the top of the list would have to be the night circus, check please and beartown. each of these had SUCH a huge impact on my life, from relatively small things like tattoos to two whole ass degrees that were shaped by them in direct or indirect ways. would highly recommend beartown especially if you haven’t read it! for incredibly good sci-fi that makes you trust your brain to handle tough stuff, i highly recommend ann leckie’s ancillary justice. it’s fantastic! the first 100ish pages are confusing but once it clicks you’re in for an amazing time. which i’ve found out is my favourite type of sf haha

Famous five by Enid Blyton, Astrid Lindgren's books and the little vampire series by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg, is some of the books that really got me into reading as a kid🥰 When I got a bit older 11-12 years old it was 100 % Harry Potter🤭 I love Twilight too. Yes it's not perfect, but the series will always have my heart. Same with vampire academy by Richelle Mead. I did enjoy reading the hunger games when it first came out, read the books in a week😂 But I've never been a huge dystopia fan😅 So it's not something I reread and I know it's more book(s) now from the same universe, but no🙅♀️😂 The book thief is one of my favorite books❤ Love your video🥰 Congrats with your 30 🎉🎈

I was trying to explain to my partner last night why Twilight changed my life and not in a Team Edward fandom way but it was the first time a book made me feel something, it was the first time I felt connected to a character and it made me fall in love with reading, despite having read since I was 5! It was a pivotal moment in my reading journey and I’m so glad somebody else understands 🖤
