After being one of those people who make pure sugar paste rainbows I will of course now be using foam core..... how much easier!! Love the water colour paint effect and the flowers too. This cake is another work of art. Beautiful, colourful and fun. 🎂💕💕

This is such a fun and bright cake!! I’m still yet to achieve the finish I like with “hand painting” I struggle with the shadows and highlights to bring my images “alive”. Thanks to Tracey I’m a big fan of foam core, have used it a number of times now for toppers. Need to work on the smoothness of my cutting out though 😂🤣 Thanks again Tracey for sharing your tricks of the trade #cherrybrigade 🍒

Awww thank you! Yes, I just use a reference image and see where the shadows are etc to help. Oh I've had plenty of ragged bits of foamcore when I've been too impatient to change my scalpel blade! haha Fresh new blade should sort you out! x

The ones I painted with here are sugarflair gels (just because I have a full set/range of colours) But I do like the squeezy tube gels too (Rainbow Dust and Fractal Colours) x Thanks!
