As a Swiss person I can confirm that Xinjiang's is a lot more raw, wild and untouched than Switzerland landscapes, and I mean it in the best possible way. The pure and natural beauty radiating from Xinjiang's is mindblowing ! What an amazing prefecture. The mountains in the back are such a refreshing sight contrasting with the vibrant greenery all around. And the horses running free are the perfect touch to the fairytale. Thank you so much for sharing what China has to offer. Truly breath taking ! I hope one day I'll be able to travel there

As an American who travelled in Xinjiang in 2017, I can say that Yan has captured just a small glimpse of the magnificent scenery and culture the province has to offer. It was like being there again! Yan does a superb job explaining what she is experiencing as the camera captures absolutely incredible sights for all to see. I’ve been all over China; Xinjiang is one of my favorite places to go. God willing, I can’t wait to return!

The beauty of this land, of these sceneries, borders on reality; your drone shots take it all the way to a dreamland. And, perhaps next time you are riding through these provinces you should not follow the path; let the horse take you back to your (imagined) childhood. Thank you so much for bringing these views to my hot, overstuffed, New York City apartment.

The new generation of Chinese Kazakhs will not speak Kazakh, since Kazakh schools have been closed in China as well as in Russia.Those who cross the border with Kazakhstan are accused of separatism and treason and are sent to reeducational camps, many Kazakhs and Uyghurs who came to Kazakhstan said this. I don’t judge the Chinese government too much for this, since in return they offer the Chinese Kazakhs a prosperous life without racism, unlike Russia. But the fact that both Uyghurs and Kazakhs will lose their cultural heritage and language is a fact
@hopeAoA
@hopeAoA 10 ай бұрын
I beg for a second opinion. I will not argue about whether the "reeducational camps" in western media are real or not, but, China and Kazakhstan have visa exemption, you don't even need a visa to get to the other side, why would anyone be accused of anything if they cross the border the proper way? Regards to schools, according to 2010 data, in Xinjiang, 48% of secondary schools and 69% of primary schools are taught in billingual. Out of which, 3905 schools (primary and secondary) teaches in Uyghur language, and 498 schools (primary and secondary) teaches in Kazakh languages. (This number might be higher now since I found in another post saying the prefecture targets for 90% billingual coverage in primary school in 2020.) You can even find an example of primary school text book in Kazakh here on this online second hand book store: book.kongfz.com/610736/6061442661/ Kazakh language is also offered as a degree in many universities in China, for anyone who intends to have a career path in translation, trade or work with Kazakhstan.

It is necessary to study the problem in depth. First of all, Xinjiang is an autonomous prefecture, and many government officials are ethnic Kazakhs and Uyghurs. Secondly, the teaching materials will be translated into the national language. Then, at the beginning of the 21st century, there were textbooks that were found to be problematic. Finally, dialects and traditions across China are facing common challenges in the midst of rapid and drastic change.

@@difuxin7226 Kazakhstan is closing Russian schools because majority of the population speak Russian but less than half speak Kazakh. And majority of the Russian speaking population can't speak Kazakh at all. Unlike Kazakhs in Russia and China who could speak Russian and Chinese as well as Kazakh. Kazakhstan is facing the threat of losing its national language. Besides all the lands in Kazakhstan belong to Kazakhs historically. All the lands of Kazakhs in Russia belong to Kazakhs historically. Xinjiang belongs to Uyghurs and other Turks historically. There are no other home for them. These are their homeland. And they will not be able to speak their own language in their own land. This is called cultural genocide. We used to face the same issue back in the USSR. It felt like we tried to erase our ancestors in order to stay alive, as if we tried to pretend to be someone else. It's actually traumatic experience for every person. Now after more than 2 centuries we are realising how traumatic that was for all of us, not only Kazakhs but also other nations under the USSR and Russian Empire. Though I got your point, in reality forcing and haste are not the right way in long-term prospect
