I think this whole dance was about loss. How we try to hold onto whatever has been taken from us, and that pursuit of what we've lost leads us into madness. As demonstrated by that creepy ass ending with the doll coming to life and looking like its ready to escape. Like it's telling her to let go. Crazy shit maannnn.

This performance is quite impressive. It is deep with an "everyday matter" . Maternal love, childbirth, mother-child bonding, illness... The face expressions remind me of anime cartoons...:p Even though the dancer has got potential due to her flexibility I believe that the overuse of that talent ruined the act for me. It was loquacious at most parts and it hurt my eye.

Chinese artists need to get rid of the habit of making exagerated facial expressions, even that is something they have been taught by their coaches right from the beginning. The result if that they do not understand a simple point: without inner, idiosyncratic supports, external expressions are meaningless.

Her facial expressions are highly exagerated, just one of the many cues of her inability to convey meaning and emotions by her body. Her dance is nothing more than a combination of complex and difficult moves. She does not really understand beauty.
