If you shrink wrap the cookies they will ship much better too. I purchase shrink wrap bags and use that with my heat sealer. Once it is closed, I use my blow dryer to shrink the wrapper around the cookie. It makes it so that the cookie has a protection around it and ships FANTASTIC!

Thanks for the video, I now can use the lower temp and put a ribbon. I normally use the max heat, to prevent the melted mess, I lift the leftover plastic from left to right and I will get a perfect seal without using scissors to cut the excess. It takes practice thou. But you’ll get it. ✌🏻

Hi. Love your videos and sharing. I live in a humid country. If I leave my cookie to dry outside/overnight, the cookie may loose it’s crispness. Any advice on this? I am so looking forward to try out your cookie recipe! Is the texture of your cookie crunchy or on the softer side?
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and supporting 🥰 I'm not really sure what would help the cookies stay crisp, but I think if you can have a fan blowing on them so that the icing dries faster and then maybe leave then out for a few hours and then put them in a container overnight when they are dry? I'm not sure if you have air conditioning or a dehumidifier but that would help if you have one of those as well. The cookies are not soft or hard, but it all depends on how long you bake them, if you let them brown a bit they have a bit more crisp to them, and if they are thin they will be crispy and if they are thicker they are a bit less crispy and soft. You can try different sizes and time in the oven to make it perfect the way you like it 😁

Thank you for your videos because I have learned so much from you. So you can decorate cookie and seal and then freeze? How long do they last in freezer and what is thawing process?
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad the videos are helpful! Yes you can freeze then after they are heat sealed, sometimes I like to put them in a container even though they're heat sealed just to make sure nothing gets broken or chipped. They can last 6 months and when you thaw, you just take them out and leave it on the counter. The one rule is never open the container or bag until the cookie is full defrosted because it causes condensation on the cookie. However if your cookies are heat sealed and in a container you could open the container and they'd be fine because they still have the bag to protect them (but don't open the bag until they're room temperature!!)

When wanting to freeze multi mini cookies can you put 2 in the bag or as i've read they are putting only 1 cookie in each bag? Some are putting wax paper in the bag before sealing, what does this do?
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 2 жыл бұрын
If you can fit 2 in the bag, you could freeze 2 at a time. I´d put them back to back though. Sometimes my bags aren´t wide enough to fit 2 cookies so if they are tall bags I´ll put one in and heat seal it, I won´t cut the bag and I´ll put the next one in and then heat seal. so still 2 cookies, but they´re in their own little pockets. I would suggest parchment paper instead of wax, but I think people do this as a protective layers so the cookies don´t stick together and if you are stacking them in a container, helps protect the icing from the cookie above.

How long do cookies stay fresh after you seal them?? And do you use a food dehydrator to help speed the drying process??
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 жыл бұрын
I do use a dehydrator to speed up drying, it really works great! But I always try to leave me cookies overnight to air dry before bagging to make sure they're 100% dry! They stay fresh for at least 2 weeks on the counter (I've had ones way past that with no issues). You can also freeze them and they last for months!!

@@LittleCookieCo I got a dehydrator for Mother’s Day. I have seen videos that say to set timer for 15-20 minutes on lowest setting..but they are still soft to the touch.
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the icing will still be soft, it takes usually 8 hours of drying time to be fully dry. The dehydrator will speed things up so you can pipe the next layer without waiting too long, but once finished you have to still leave them to dry for hours.

Hello, how can you tell if the cookies are properly sealed? I’ve tried gently squeezing the bag but it’s a bit hard to tell. I find some of my cookies get really hard if left out for 3 days.
@LittleCookieCo
@LittleCookieCo 2 жыл бұрын
I usually open the top of my bag with a bit of force to see if the seal is working. That's strange that they seem to be hard after 3 days, you mean even after being bagged? Mine are usually the the after a few days, they aren't super soft cookies in general but they keep their freshness. It could be the bags you are using too maybe?
