If we are using the dining table for a jigsaw we do it on the bare table surface and then cover it in between sessions with the table protector and table cloth to stop it being too disturbed whilst still being able to use the table. Thank you for these daily vlogs. I’ll miss them.

Brilliant idea!!My husband and I started a puzzle on Saturday night on our dining room table so we had to set up another table to eat at. I can cut some cardboard to cover it so we don’t have to cram a second table in the room We are suddenly obsessed puzzle builders. We worked on it until 2 in the morning the first night.

We live in the UK and have ceiling fans in all the rooms apart from the bathrooms. Absolute game changer and would thoroughly recommend!! Much better than free standing directional fans too as they don’t use any floor or surface space. Sharon x

We always have a puzzle going on the winter time. 1000 pieces works best for us, not too big, not too small. I got a white board cut that's about 10cm larger all round that the puzzle to build it on. Also makes it easy to pick the whole thing up and move it if needed. Your vlog has been fun to watch, ty for making it.

Hi, Ali! I love your vlogs, and your dailies are lots of fun. Hate to see them end. As far as air conditioning, if you had it, you could still complain about how high your electric bill is, and how you get tired of the noise it makes, and how you can’t hear the birds anymore…you’ll have no shortage of things to complain about. I so wish we could live without it! Take care of yourself, and hope you’re back soon with these daily vlogs!

Houses in southern Australia haven't always had air-conditioning. While Houses in Queensland were traditionally built for the heat, here in Melbourne, Houses weren't built for the heat or the cold. We live in a 1970s "hot box" and have gradually added spit system air-conditioning over the past ten years. Fans can make a big difference by moving air around but when it is really hot, try directing a fan at a damp towel hanging on a clothes horse or back of a chair. Keep windows closed while the sun is touching them but if they are in shade, open a little to get some cross ventilation. Temperatures have steadily increased in recent years to the point I no longer consider 31 degrees C as too hot! In a week of 36-40, it has become the "cool" day to get things done 😮 We have had more days 40 plus in my granddaughter's 11 years than in my own 61 years 😢

Very exciting to see your cardigan taking shape, it is looking terrific. I love the term 'accidental tomatoes', I was very slack with the garden last year and didn't plant any tomatoes. Luckily there were some seeds in the compost and about half a dozen sprouted anyway in the rhubarb bed, which was a pleasant surprise and meant we did get fresh garden tomatoes after all. My chronic illness has been getting me down this week, but these craft vlogs have been a real bright spot, keeping me company as I knit and spin. (One could even say they are a little drop of wonderful in my days 😂)

I know you lead a busy life with work and KZbin as well as running a household so don’t stress about rushing to send it out. Thanks Ali for a fun week! I have ceiling fans in my living room and bedroom and couldn't be without. Hi Ali. I donate a lot of puzzles to the charity shop. When I do I put the pieces in a plastic zipper bag and use cello tape to tape the box closed. If by chance there are pieces missing I put a note on the box that says that so people know and can decide if they want to buy it anyway or not. I do search for the piece to make sure it didn’t fall on the floor or get stuck in the original bag (that was last night’s puzzle).

It’s helping charity and I can zone out whilst doing one but I tend to just keep going and it isn’t unheard of for me to do a 1000 piece within the day. Thank you for the making vlogs, so enjoyable. You are not the first British KZbinr I've seen to comment on the warm weather. I understand if your house is not quite set up for air conditioning. But what about a portable air conditioner? We use one here in Nova Scotia, Canada when the weather hits 30+ and we have high humidity. We can move it from room to room as needed; it just needs to be vented out a window. And in the spring, fall and winter it rolls into our bedroom closet. Just a thought. :)

I always called the accidental plants “volunteers”. I found some volunteer tomatoes in my garden and was so happy because the chipmunks have been feasting on my actual tomato bed this year. The only tomatoes I’ve eaten are the ones I didn’t plant. Those little turds bite every tomato just as it starts to turn red. 😡

There is always something you can find to complain about, I know I can! When I complained about the weather be it to hot, cold, rain or snow my Dad used to say” Well Sis at least you don’t have to go out and milk the cows!” Used to make me crazy when he said it and now that he’s no longer living when I find myself complaining about the weather I just laugh. Thanks for the week of videos, best to all

Hi, Ali! I have had the coziest afternoon, binge-watching the first 6 vlogs, then after an hour-long evening walk I came home to this last vlog 😄👍 Perfect way to spend the afternoon after my second day back to work after our 4 week summer vacation 🙃 Love your purling, it looks so effortless, and your cardigan will look so lovely in that yarn! 💚 I have two audiobook recommendations, both by Valérie Perrin. I'm currently listening to "Trois"/"Three", and earlier I've listened to "Changer l'eau des fleurs"/"Fresh water for flowers". Love them both ❤ You have probably read Anna Gevalda, but if not, you should check her out, I've read several of her books, "Ensemble, c'est tout" being my absolute favourite ❤ I have also had a jigsaw on the go during the holidays, had some help along the way, and finished it the same day as we left for home 🥰 Love that Paris one you got there 😍 May I be somewhat francophile? 😆 So much more I would like to comment on, but guess this is long enough already 🙈😂 Thank you for brightening my day! 🥰
