He did an amazing job but two big mistakes. Killing Rickard Karstark because of "honour" then betraying that same honour by breaking an oath to marry Walder Frey's daughter. The first was the bigger mistake. The Karstarks commanded the second largest part of his army and Walder Frey and Roose probably wouldn't have tried it if Rob had had his full army. Mainly because he would have still looked like the winning side

Try being a Stannis loyalist and feel the pain of D&D w/out source material left and in control of Stannis':fate when it was evident from jump that they completely misunderstood/misliked the one true king! Same bothers me that Davos seemingly forgot all about Stannis. Like, we never even got to hear his thoughts even after Melisandre revealed what happened to Shireen. Robb didn't have the claim for the seven kingdoms and would've found he hated it,because the Southern way of doing things is less direct than the Northerners. Stannis just didn't have the army to claim the iron throne and wouldn't have gotten enough after the Tyrell-Lannister alliance became solidified.

Before Stannis Baratheon, Robb Stark was the character that kept me invested in this series and to see his noble, proud, and good campaign utterly destroyed nearly destroyed my love for this series. Stannis revived that interest, but once he left, I knew the show would go down hill. Now as of the end of series, I can say I was right all along. RIP Robb Stark, you truly were too good for Westeros
