The fact that the series concluded on Jon's story is kinda powerful and says a lot about how much of a hero he was, in a tragic way. Killed the woman he loved to save the lives of thousands of innocents and ended up completely disgraced for it. Left his family and all that. The wildlings respect and accept him and he's got Tormund and Ghost, Jon will be alright.

jordan smith whether it does or not, the starks' story was the first that was introduced to us in the show, and developed a sense of being the main characters to the audience. They were/are good people. I liked them because of it. Within the first couple episodes the lannisters are shown to be bad people, and after king baratheon died their image plummeted further. and we all deeply empathized with the starks when ned was executed. so its just the emotional attachment I felt for the starks and the fact they were the first to be introduced into the GOT world, makes me feel like they are the main characters. (and I am still hoping to see some kind of stark vengeance on the lannisters)
