Thanks for this great video! I have a few questions. All of these are great business ideas however my question is typically those business opportunities only come up once you have an established following yes? So how do you get started before those opportunities come available. When did they start becoming available for you? I have maybe 75 followers? What do I do with that, ya know what I mean? Also, how do you guys handle your lack of benefits? Health insurance, dental insurance ect.

Great question! For us, with a travel focus, we started by paying for everything and making the content to build our audience. So we’d travel and make content out of everything we did and we’d make as much content as possible on the website, socials and here on YT. Slowly our audience started to grow and we started to have brands take notice of us. There isn’t really a rule of how many follower numbers you need for brands to notice you, which is a good thing! It’s about quality over quantity. It’s a good idea to tag brands in all your content and when you make something like a video or blog post, email them and send them the link! Basically, you just gotta work your ass for free 😂 the focus in the beginning is on building that audience by offering them awesome content. Honestly, we started at a time when there were fewer travel creators so it was easier for us to get noticed so my advice would be to make sure you’re doing something that really stands out in some way or offers something unique 🙌🏻 it can and most likely will take years to get where you want to be but damn it’s worth it!!!

Our health benefits were never covered by our employers 😊 it sounds like you’re based in the US? Here in Aus we pay our own private health insurance so we already had it and we’re used to paying it. Sorry that info isn’t more helpful to your situation! 🙌🏻❤️

Do you use a professional camera for your instagram shots? Or just your phone? I’m a photographer but it seems to me if I’m traveling and I want to post as much as you do on a daily or weekly basis that using my camera might be an inconvenience bc of the upload and editing process.

We use a Sony 6400, Sony 6500 and sometimes an iPhone 11 for our photos. I used to edit on my phone on the go but it became too much. Once I started editing on my laptop or desktop I was able to edit bigger batches of photos to a better standard. Now, I do all my editing from a trip in one go and then have all the photos on my phone ready to go!! It means I’ve got more content for a longer period of time and I use the free app ‘Preview’ to pre-plan the order in which I post them 🥰
