I was messing around with a piece of scrap leather earlier today and decided to try my hand at installing a zipper, then folding it over and making a small leather pouch. It came out really well and garnered tons of praise. Then I see Ryan install a zipper and. . . step by step, realize every mistake I made along the way.

I like your technique of putting the straight edge down allowing the sanding of the very edge of the leather. Something I will start doing. Thanks for the content😊

I think adding some sort of fabric on the inside to cover up the stitches would have have made it a tad more deluxe but the end result looks fantastic either way.
@mushroomtip113 жыл бұрын
i was thinking the exact same thing. like taking the same leather on the outside and just sticking it on the inside of the flap would give it a lot more of a "nicer" look. if thats possible with something this elegant

Hi LKG!Thanks again for being such an inspiration.Ive been researching what type of dye to use for edges.But I can find anything :( :( Do you perhaps have some advice on which type of dye to use for leather edges?I see you always apply dye, then burnish, then apply tokonole then burnish again...and your edges look amazing.I just dont know which dye is best for this process.I am very new in leathercraft.
@brandonfullenkamp4723 Жыл бұрын
The colors of the leather and alligator really complemented each other well. Is there a reason you didn't burnish the edges instead of painting, sanding, and painting again?

Excuse my 🙏 .. Is that liquid product that you use on the edges of the leather pieces available on the websites of the electronic sale ?! And do you not be exit the thread or damage the sewing when you sew either by machine or manually and finish it only by cutting the thread .. !? I am really interested in your reply to the two questions
