When you are working on your edges, I’ve seen you use Black Tokonole and sometimes instead you’ll use your Brown acrylic marker, some even follow that with clear tokonole, is there a reason you prefer one over the other? Sometimes I want a nice smooth black edge so I wonder which is better , black marker followed by clear tokonole or just using black tokonole from the rip, would love your input.

@aabsharaskari3 жыл бұрын
@Aerdonix thanks, I do use Vinymo MBT 0.55mm. However, it's not really easy to work with when you need to handstitch long seams, works great for smaller projects. I lightly wax it (not that it needs wax) for it to have a better hang and maneuverability.

So, using the renia 315, when I burnish my edges the glue rolls out from in between the leather and ruins my edge. Does it do that for you? Or have you figured out a way to stop it from happening?
@LittleKingGoods3 жыл бұрын
You could also use trim allowance when making your products. Leave 5mm on all outside edges. Then after gluing your project together, trim off the excess material which will leave a very smooth edge.

take the rubber and walk around the edges, the rubber removes the glue well completely

Absolutely, handmade is better. However, is it handmade only for the videos ? But you also use a glow forge, clicker press for cutting and machine for stitching. I'd like to understand how is this different from something that's mass produced in a 3rd world country - barring the leather quality, fair trade bit, craftsmanship, etc.
@LittleKingGoods3 жыл бұрын
I think materials and craftsmanship are huge things in my opinion. Also methods used in those factories like assembly line style where 20 people are involved in making a product, the quality control or attention to detail is completely lost. Everything crafted at my shop is done by a single craftsman. We give the option of hand or machine stitched. Every single item is inspected for any defect. There’s a lot that’s different. I have friends who have gone the made in China route and have lost their minds when they received their wholesale private label orders.
@syedqayyum84153 жыл бұрын
@@LittleKingGoods Yes, this makes sense. But discounting all overseas businesses/manufacturers is wrong - maybe your friends haven't found the right partners. However, I don't understand the handmade part. In my opinion, handmade does not involve any form of machines. Would love to hear your take on this on a future video, if possible. Don't get me wrong, love your work and brand but the marketing seems misleading or it just could be me.
