Fair review. Just to correct, the PDF is in color, depends on how you print it. The company is not defunct, just was in a bit of a hiatus. We have a Yahoo group, and I have just started a Facebook page. I can be reached at Chipco2@aol.com. Unfortunately, our web page was run by a long time distributor, and he closed up shop. I have started writing rules for the Crusade and Mongol wars with Europe, and that should add some more chrome. Panic should have been per the Fantasy Rules! feared rules, so a fair criticism. Glad I stumbled on this, I'd thought ChipCo had gone under myself. Good to hear they're still with us.

Thanks for the review of Days of Knights. I may well get in touch with the co-author for a copy, particularly as two of my three medieval armies are 10mm.

I played a fair amount of Chipco Fantasy a long time ago. This system sounds pretty darn close to that. I always enjoyed Chipco Fantasy.

The Fantasy rules were the first Chipco rules we used in our club many, many years. Since then, we've tried a number of their other systems. Aside from no longer using the morale clock for movement activation, DoK shares the same combat mechanics as Fantasy. They are solid, fun rules for sure.

Too bad there aren't any vids (that I can find) for Chipco's Fantasy rules (Fantasy Rules!). At one time (pre-KZbin?) it was fairly high profile on wargaming sites. It's still my preference for big games of 6mm fantasy.

We mainly played with 25mm figures on 40mm x 40mm bases, with larger bases for big monsters and stuff.

Can some one put up the link to the yahoo group and the name of Curtis' facebook page? Thanks. Also at LWTV: who makes the 10mm figures you used for the battle?
@LittleWarsTV6 жыл бұрын
Good idea, Larry. We're on it. Our figures here were Magister Militum. They paint up very nicely. Some of us also own Pendraken 10mm, though those were not in this video.

Love your paint jobs!!! The 10 mm look really great with the 40x40. Chip has been doing 15mm on 80x80, and has great dioramas. Especially love your king/marshal figures.

What would be a good campaign system to play major battles with this game? Is there a better middle ages system that is better than this one?

This got me interested in the ruleset. I hope the email address still works.
