It is now canon in my mind that the Entity left its realm unattended for the whole of December to go on some kind of interdimensional vacation. But in that time, Ghostface wandered onto some kind of power source that the Entity forgot to get rid of and used it to fly around and hurl hatchets at survivors endlessly for fun. When the Entity came back, she was pissed at him. But he didn’t get punished since Ghostface is the Entity’s favorite.

There are some early dbd meme tatics that could be mentioned: 1. Survivor sabo-squad: Hook removal were permanent in the beginning, so people would just all come with sabo and remove all hooks during the game. Iron grip and agitation became a must for killers hoping to hook someone in the leftover basement hooks. 2. 20 second gen rush: Brand new parts were once completely busted, allowing survivors to do all gens in about 20s, ending the game even before the killer could find anyone.

So, in the case of Nea, she has a lot of outfits that are references to the game itself. Like she has a top that is the Spine Chill perk artwork, then she has the "System Smasher" outfit which includes musical notes on her shirt that is the musical notes for the DBD Theme song.

I like to imagine Pyramid Head was one of the most difficult killers for the entity to obtain. Mainly because he’s not actually real in multiple ways. We know that the video game characters ARE actually video game characters in what would be the “Real” world of DBD and Pyramid Head in SH2 is already not even real in his own game, instead being a concept in James’s psyche. So I like to think the entity had to search long and hard to find a universe where PH was actually a physical being.

I think I watched a Pixel Bush video that theorized that the Pyramid Head in DBD is not a manifestation of James' or Cheryl's otherworlds (like the in-game lore would lead you to believe for some reason), but that due to the Entity seeing/interfering in the SH world, it manifested in the realm as a "punishment" to the Entity - something that it wanted for its realm, and now that he's there, he is constantly "punishing" the Entity by existing in the Realm and disobeying it. PH manifests as a desire to be punished/guilt, but since the Entity is not human and cannot feel guilt, PH is destined to be in the Realm forever. I probably explained it pretty badly, I recommend watching some of Pixel Bush's videos to get a clearer picture of what I'm trying to say!

It’s no surprise they were able to secure Michael Myers so early on in DbD’s lifespan. Behaviour was able to acquire the license for Freddy Krueger, Ghostface, Leatherface and even Jason Vorhees for their previous game, Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise. No doubt they’re prior reputation with the horror genre helped them secure the license for Myers.

Ghostface's flip phone was from a leaked dev build that wasn't supposed be seen by the public. It had an unfinished version of ghostface over a month before he was officially announced, and only had one working perk called "Simple Formula," which is now what we know as Furtive Chase. The phrase simple formula is a reference to the first Scream. So that, the knife wipe, and the flip phone are obvious pointers that they were trying to get the Scream license at that point in development. The perk was named Furtive chase, and his flip phone became a polaroid camera to avoid similarities... I suppose the wiping animation was vague enough, though.

One thing I didn’t see on this iceberg is the terrifying idea of Fog Creatures/Monsters. Back in the old days of DBD walking near the walls of each trial, distinct roars and growls can be heard. Peering over the walls wouldn’t show anything but impenetrable fog. So people in the old days of dbd theorized that there are either other trials happening simultaneously elsewhere within that fog… or that there were ungodly creatures hiding within the fog. Some people even went to forums to claim they have ‘seen’ glimpses of these creatures or their silhouettes. Some other players claimed that they would catch glimpses of these creatures walking WITHIN the trial right at the fog distant boundary. These roars, growls, and screams were removed around the time Bill was added into the game, and along with it all the reports of these ‘fog monsters’. This is such a obscure fact that I’ve only seen one other KZbinr mention these creatures and their sounds a few years back. I can’t figure out what KZbinr it was since it was a while ago, but they’re the only one I know who still remembers hearing those roars. Name making sense: In old versions, all the maps were at night and when you escaped, the end screen have the sun. This makes the name “Dead by daylight” makes sense. Evading the entity: While many characters have escaped or resisted it, only 2 have managed its attempts to capture them: Kate and Mikaela. Kate trips into a hole while hiking but managed to grab onto a ledge and pulled herself up before she got pulled it. Mikaela evaded twice, once in the trailer and the other time in the lore where she did a protective spell which delayed the entity from taking her until she got into her car. Azarov’s resting place?: Despite it’s name, there is nothing to show that it’s his resting place. No grave or body that is his, not even the car crusher that he was killed with. Asthmatic Ghostface: There are 2 scrapped add-one for Ghostface: an inhaler and a piece of chewed gum. The theme for Ghostface’s add ons are evidences to catch him so it’s likely that these have his DNA on them. Inhalers and gum are dosage forms for asthma patients to treat asthma.

One correction for the Dredge bit at around 19:00, You mention the arm to be his "Leg" piece, but Killers do not have a leg cosmetic slot like survivors. Based on which piece is referred to as his "Mask" from the last anniversary, the arm is actually considered to be his head, his "head" is is body, but his weapon is still just his weapon. This also matches the order you unlock his bloody cosmetics in.

Amazing video!! One thing to note though, the one part about Dredge at 19:00 is incorrect. The Dredge's Left arm is the head and the Dredge's weapon is the "legs" To back this, if you go to any killer's base head cosmetic, it normally says "The ____" for Dredge, it's on it's left arm. also, the Dredge's anniversary mask says "The Dredge's Mask" on it's left arm as well. That was it! Great vid!!

I think another important thing about god pallets is that they can be so threatening that often getting hit (not downed) is preferable to dropping it. Killers often have to respect pallets to not be stunned by them, and good survivors know how to utilise this cautiousness from killers to get extra loops they would have never gotten otherwise.

There are a few old things that you didn't touch on. I'll give then some sum ups here. 1. The Shape's Dying Light perk worked differently on release. If you got rid of the Obsession, the whole team would suffer a penalty to all of their progressions, not just healing. The most effective way to use that was to... 2. You used to be able to Mori survivors off of their first hook. 3. The old Survivor meta perks were Unbreakable, Dead Hard, and Decisive Strike. The only one of these three that hasn't seen a significant change is Unbreakable. DS used to be much stronger, as it essentially made the killer need to always down you twice before your first hook. 4. Pinhead is also likely someone that can defeat the Entity. He just prefers to steal his victims from the Entity, so he stays around to do so. 5. The Nurse and Kate have both escaped the Entity, though the Nurse only does so temporarily through her blinking from Spencer's Last Breath. 6. Haddie, before he release, was a lore only character before she was added to the trials. 7. Mikaela is the first Survivor to introduce Boons, much to the delight of survivors and dislike of killers. She is also, too my knowledge, the first released Survivor to use magic to combat the trials through the Boons. While Cheryl is the first Survivor to be able to call on the Entity to do something for the Survivors through Repressed Alliance. 8. The Trapper used to be the strongest killer because you could place a trap directly in front of a hooked Survivor. You could only unhook survivors from one direction before 9. Some old Trapper facts. He used to only start with 1 trap base line. His traps used to be darker, and the ground used to be able to hide traps much better. Combined with how the maps were changed, he could place traps and hide them around the maps so much better. You used to be able to permanently disable his traps if you had a toolbox, and potentially the saboteur perks. 10. The Hag used to be a worse Trapper. It took her much longer to set up her traps than now, and much the Trapper, survivors can mess with her traps while she's transporting a downed survivor.

The problem with Pinhead mori is that survivors go back to the campfire, not to hell... which can mean one of two things: 1. Deamons are much weaker than the Entity 2 (which is my favourite). Licensed killers (or survs also) are not real, but are instead a clones made by Entity just to look as licensed characters.

Most of them you´ll never meet in game because they´re just playing against other teams in custom games with custom rules. The "Crows" are essentially the same crows that we see in the trials, eyes of the entity. 20:00 The localised translations controversy reminds me of that time I checked out the Japanese language option for DbD and most perk names are just in English but changed into katakana. Of course there are some perks like "Dead Hard" that are specific lingo of particular culture that should be left as is, but in most cases a proper Japanese translation would fit better.

The problem that I have it with BHVR it's that we don't have enough diversity in the category of maps, I mean... if you look at the majority of the current maps that already we have, they are pretty much the same, that's why I really think that we need back The Hawkins Laboratory Map Design, or a couple of maps that resemble this unique and authentic Map design, only Lery's Memorial Institute it's being close to that specific map, so my problem it's that we don't have much more diversity in the maps environments...

Theory: Wesker is immune to the blight, as u can see on his blighted skin he doesn't look like he got affected that much unlike the others, this is because of the Uruboros, it constantly fights back the Blight and Wesker can use it to his advantage, using the samples of the Blight to make him even stronger.

The unobtainable offerings are not removed, if you gotten one on a P3 or never prestiged a character, you could have them still, but there more or less called “Retired Offering”, it’s a semi flex to have one to show off you been on dbd for a long time (the moon offerings for example).

Since I’m relatively new to the game, the mmr is quite low so the survivors I faced were not very skilled but there was this Claudette that managed to avoid me almost all match long (I was Wraith) because I had a hard time… seeing her

I went on a Blendette hunt on Ironworks of Misery once, and let's just say the map's name stood up to the situation. I feel like my only saving grace was choosing the Huntress with full hatchet setup (and IM + DV combo) since when you're dealing with a 4-man Blendette squad that prioritizes hiding over doing gens downing one before she slips away is crucial.

Some flip phones did infact have front facing cameras, Nokia being a reputable example released a swivel camera that can be turned around to video chat. that was released in 03/0. Although i am aware of Kyocera Visual Phone VP-210 is accepted as being the FIRST front facing camera phone available to the general market released 1999. hope that helps, it wasn't a common thing and more of a luxury rarity.
